Pozharsky and Burisma CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bombshell-fbi-report-take-10-years-find-records-burisma-payments-bidens\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mykola Zlochevsky<\/a> were also in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>At one of the meetings, Archer\u2063 said the Burisma executives\u200d asked Hunter to \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/devon-archer-bombshell-hunter-biden-called-dc-get-ukrainian-prosecutor-investigating-burisma-fired\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">call D.C.<\/a>\u201d\u200d in relation to the heat they\u2062 were feeling from Ukrainian \u2063prosecutors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2062 requested\u200b Hunter, you know,\u200b help them \u200bwith\u2062 some of that pressure,\u201d Archer said. \u201cYou know, government pressure from Ukrainian government investigations into Mykola.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Burisma executives requested Hunter Biden\u2064 to get \u201chelp\u2064 from\u2064 D.C.\u201d to address \u201cgovernment pressure\u201d and were aware Hunter had a \u201cvery\u200d powerful name.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RPRntDGNMP\">pic.twitter.com\/RPRntDGNMP<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014\u200b Oversight\u2064 Committee (@GOPoversight) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GOPoversight\/status\/1687093874131415041?\">August 3, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/devon-archer-hunter-used-joe-biden-as-defensive-leverage-to-send-right-signals-to-foreign-biz-partners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> reported that \u201con Nov. 2, 2015, just weeks\u200b before the board meeting in Dubai, Pozharskyi emailed Hunter\u200c Biden, emphasizing that the \u2018ultimate purpose\u2019 of the \u2063agreement to have Hunter on the board was to shut down \u2018any \u200bcases\/pursuits against \u200dNikolay in Ukraine,\u2019 referring to Zlochevsky, who \u200dalso went by Nikolay.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe request is like, \u2018Can D.C. help?&#8217;\u201d Archer recalled, \u200dadding that the Burisma executives did \u2063not \u2062specifically ask Hunter to get his \u2062father involved. \u201cIt was always \u2062this amorphous,\u200c \u2018Can we \u2063get help \u2063in D.C.?&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hunter \u200cdid make a call to D.C. from Dubai, according to Archer. However, he\u200b was not privy to what\u200c was said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI \u2064was \u2063left \u200dout of these,\u2064 you know, black box \u200dD.C. types \u2062of conversations,\u201d Archer explained.<\/p>\n<p>But five days after the phone call, \u200bthen-Vice President \u2062Joe Biden gave a <a href=\"https:\/\/obamawhitehouse.archives.gov\/the-press-office\/2015\/12\/09\/remarks-vice-president-joe-biden-ukrainian-rada\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">speech<\/a> in Ukraine, saying, \u2062\u201cThe office of the general prosecutor desperately needs reform.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That office was led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/report-former-ukraine-prosecutor-files-complaint-charging-biden-not-trump-abused-power\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Viktor \u200cShokin<\/a>, who \u200bwas\u00a0investigating potential corruption at Burisma\u200b at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Joe Biden was the Obama \u200dadministration\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/foreignpolicy.com\/2016\/10\/30\/what-will-ukraine-do-without-joe-biden-putin-war-kiev-clinton-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">point man<\/a> on Ukraine\u200c while Hunter served on Burisma\u2019s board, \u200dearning <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/05\/26\/hunter-bidens-ukraine-salary-was-cut-after-joe-biden-left-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$1 million<\/a> per\u200b year.<\/p>\n<p>The elder Biden eventually demanded then-Ukrainian President\u2062 Petro Poroshenko fire Shokin or forfeit $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees.<\/p>\n<p>At a Council on Foreign Relations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfr.org\/event\/foreign-affairs-issue-launch-former-vice-president-joe-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">meeting<\/a> in January 2018, Joe Biden spoke proudly about what transpired.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said, \u2018I\u2019m\u200d telling\u200d you, you\u2019re not getting the $1 billion. \u2026\u2062 I\u2019m leaving \u200cin \u2064six\u200b hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you\u2019re not getting the money,\u2019\u201d he recalled telling \u200dPoroshenko.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, son of a b****, he got fired.
