He can say whatever he \u200bwants. He can even lie. \u200cHe can even tell \u2064people that the \u2063election was stolen when \u2062he\u200c knew better,&#8221; he explained. \u200d&#8221;But that does\u200d not protect you\u2063 from entering into a conspiracy. All conspiracies involve \u200bspeech, and all \u2064<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bill-barr-dismisses-trump-first-amendment-defense-against-jan-6-indictment\/\" title=\"Bill Barr rejects Trump's First Amendment defense for Jan. 6 indictment.\">fraud involves speech<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Free speech doesn&#8217;t give you the \u200dright to engage in a fraudulent conspiracy,&#8221; \u200bBarr added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Barr\u2063 emphasized that while Trump has the freedom to express his opinions, it does not shield him from being implicated in a conspiracy. He highlighted that all conspiracies and acts \u200bof \u2063fraud\u2062 involve speech,\u200b and\u200b the First Amendment\u200c does \u2062not grant \u2064immunity in such cases.<\/p>\n<p>Trump&#8217;s attorney, John \u200dLauro, argued that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pro-trump-meme-maker-ricky-vaughn-indicted-for-using-twitter-to-spread-election-disinformation-to-hillary-clinton-voters-faces-10-years-in-prison\/\" title=\"Pro-Trump Meme Maker \u201cRicky Vaughn\u201d Indicted For Using Twitter to \u2018Spread Election Disinformation\u2019 to Hillary Clinton Voters \u2013 Faces 10 Years in Prison\">political speech<\/a>\u2063 is highly protected under the First\u200d Amendment\u200b and that Trump had the right to advocate for \u2064his position. He claimed \u200cthat Trump&#8217;s advocacy is now being unjustly criminalized.<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2063 was recently indicted by\u200d a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-trump-receives-horrifying-news-from-special-counsel-jack-smith-regarding-jan-6-grand-jury\/\" title=\"Breaking: Trump Shocked by Disturbing Update from Special Counsel on Jan. 6 Grand Jury\">federal grand\u200d jury<\/a> on four charges, including\u200b conspiracy to defraud the United States and obstruction of\u200b an official proceeding. These charges stem \u2062from his alleged involvement in the Capitol\u2064 riot and efforts to obstruct the certification of the 2020\u2062 election results.<\/p>\n<p>Barr, who has not endorsed Trump \u200cfor the 2024\u200b presidential nomination, is among the many former Cabinet members \u200cwho have distanced themselves \u2063from the former \u2064president.
