But Pfizer and Moderna are pinning their hopes on private markets sales and strong demand for\u200c their new updated shots targeting XBB.1.5 variant. <\/p>\n<p>Moderna expects $6 billion to $8 billion in sales from its COVID shots this year, up from its previous forecast of $5 billion, driven by potential U.S. demand for 50 to 100 million doses in the fall season. <\/p>\n<p>The company sees between $2 billion and $4 billion in the vaccine sales from commercial\u200b contracts in the United States\u200c and other places.\u2064 However, it said $1 billion of its previous forecast of a \u200btotal $5\u2064 billion in sales from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/moderna-sees-up-to-8-billion-in-2023-covid-vaccine-sales-on-private-market-hopes\/\" title=\"Moderna anticipates B in 2023 COVID vaccine sales, banking on private market prospects.\">signed government contracts<\/a> would be deferred to next year. <\/p>\n<p>Pfizer on Tuesday\u2064 warned that sales of COVID vaccines were\u200d uncertain, adding that the COVID vaccination rates this\u2062 fall should\u2063 be a good \u2062predictor for annual rates.
