At the time, the WWE reported $14.6 million\u2062 in expenses that were paid \u200cout personally by McMahon \u2014 none of which had been recorded previously. He\u200c still serves as executive chairman of the company.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the news about the\u2063 search and subpoena, the WWE <a href=\"https:\/\/otp.tools.investis.com\/clients\/us\/wwe\/SEC\/sec-outline.aspx?FilingId=16828943&#038;Cik=0001091907&#038;PaperOnly=0&#038;HasOriginal=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revealed<\/a> that McMahon is currently on medical leave \u2062due to his recent spinal surgery \u2013 and he was expected to remain on leave for some time.<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201c[McMahon] \u2062went\u2064 on medical leave after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wwes-vince-mcmahon-slammed-with-federal-search-warrant-and-subpoena\/\" title=\"Vince McMahon of WWE hit with federal search warrant and subpoena.\">undergoing major spinal surgery<\/a>,\u201d the report said,\u2062 adding\u2062 that he would \u201cremain\u200c on medical leave until further\u2064 notice but will remain \u200bExecutive Chairman\u201d of the corporation.<\/p>\n<p>The WWE also noted that\u200c the corporation \u201chas\u200c received voluntary and compulsory legal demands for documents, including from federal law enforcement and regulatory agencies, concerning the investigation and related subject matters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe continue to fully cooperate\u200c with any investigation. Outside of \u200bthat we are not going to \u2063comment on any legal \u2064matter,\u201d\u2062 CEO Nick Khan <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2023\/08\/wwe-ufc-merger-smackdown-raw-wrestlemania-money-in-the-bank-vince-mcmahon-1235453013\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>. No charges have yet been brought \u200cagainst McMahon or the corporation.<\/p>\n<p>The WWE is\u2063 still <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/wwe\/story\/_\/id\/36066332\/endeavor-ufc-wwe-merger-2023-explained\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">expected to merge<\/a> with the UFC to form a new company \u200ccontrolled by The Endeavor Group. That merger is expected to take place later this year, according to the \u200dWWE\u2019s latest report. According to ESPN, Endeavor will\u200b own 51% of the new company.
