The order defines terms like &#8220;female,&#8221; &#8220;woman,&#8221; and\u2063 &#8220;mother,&#8221; and ensures \u200dthe preservation of female-only spaces.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\" style=\"min-width: 320px; min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>Independent Women\u2019s Voice, the organization \u2062behind\u2064 the Women\u2019s Bill of Rights \u200dExecutive Order,\u2062 joined Governor Stitt in the signing \u2062ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>Oklahoma is\u2063 now the third state to adopt the Women\u2019s Bill \u2062of Rights, following Kansas and Tennessee. These states have recognized the importance \u200bof \u2063defining &#8220;sex&#8221; in legislation as one&#8217;s biological\u2064 sex at birth.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cNo men are going to go into women\u2019s prisons in the state of Oklahoma,\u201d Stitt \u2064said. \u201cNo \u2063men in women\u2019s domestic shelters. No men in women\u2019s locker \u2062rooms. No \u200dmen in women\u2019s bathrooms. No men in women\u2019s sports,\u201d Stitt \u200basserted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Women\u2019s\u2064 Bill of Rights model\u200d legislation was developed in partnership with the feminist\u200c organization Women\u2019s Liberation Front (WoLF) by Independent Women\u2019s Voice and Independent Women\u2019s Law \u200dCenter (IWLC).<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cI \u200bam <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exec-order-oklahoma-governor-first-to-issue-womens-bill-of-rights\/\" title=\"Oklahoma Governor pioneers Women's Bill of Rights with Executive Order.\">taking \u2062decisive \u200bexecutive action<\/a> to\u200d ensure \u200cthe \u200ctrue definition\u2062 of the word woman, meaning a biological woman, \u200dis what \u200dguides the state as we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring the safety, dignity, and sanctity \u200cof women across Oklahoma. As long as I\u2019m governor, we will \u200ccontinue to protect women and \u2062ensure women-only spaces are reserved \u2064solely for biological women,\u201d Stitt\u200b declared.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Somerlyn Cothran, a certified Oklahoma business \u200cowner and senior vice president of\u200b investor relations at the Independent Women\u2019s Forum and the Independent Women\u2019s\u200b Voice, also expressed her support.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cToday, Governor Stitt\u2064 is telling my young daughter and the millions of other Oklahoma women\u2063 and \u2063girls that he has their back \u2013 that they no longer have to fear for their safety in private female-only spaces. In Oklahoma,\u200b we \u200dprotect women. Today, the definition of what a woman is \u2013 is solidified for\u200d women owned\u2064 businesses like mine and\u200b for women\u200c entrepreneurs throughout the state. \u2063Without the\u200d Governor\u2019s executive order today,\u2064 that \u200bdistinction would soon cease to mean anything,\u201d Cothran said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Riley\u200c Gaines, an advisor for Independent \u2063Women\u2019s Voice and a 12-time All-American swimmer, also attended the signing.\u200b She \u2063emphasized the importance of respecting biological differences in the law to\u2063 ensure the\u2064 future of\u200c female-only \u2063spaces.<\/p>\n<p>However, LGBTQ+ advocacy \u2062group Freedom Oklahoma released a statement \u2064claiming that the executive order will lead\u2062 to discrimination against transgender women.\u200c They argue \u200bthat it will subject \u2063both biological women and transgender women to heightened scrutiny\u200b and harassment.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThis Executive Order is neither about rights,\u2064 nor is it about\u200b protecting women,\u201d \u2063claimed Nicole McAfee, Executive\u200c Director of Freedom \u200bOklahoma. \u201cIt is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/shots-fired-matthew-dowd-ends-campaign-for-texas-lt-gov-suggests-beto-orourke-should-also-quit\/\" title=\"SHOTS FIRED: Matthew Dowd Ends Campaign for Texas Lt.
