The\u2064 institute is determined to prevent what it \u200csees as &#8220;government intrusion in religious affairs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The case originated from\u2064 a lawsuit filed by former communications faculty member Janay \u2064Garrick in 2018. Garrick \u2064challenged the school&#8217;s refusal to admit women into its Pastoral Ministry program.
