This mom\u200b is determined to protect her kids and parental rights.<\/p>\n<h3>A Shocking \u200cRevelation<\/h3>\n<p>In early June, students in several elementary, middle,\u2064 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/chicago-teachers-union-approves-tentative-deal-students-to-return-to-classrooms\/\" title=\"Chicago Teachers Union Approves Tentative Deal, Students To Return To Classrooms\">high school classrooms<\/a> were informed about the gender transition of\u2062 their orchestra teacher,\u2063 Jacob Puccio. However, what shocked many\u2063 was the lack\u2062 of parental consent and notification from the district.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, middle school orchestra\u200d students were \u200beven subjected\u200d to a discussion with \u200cPuccio \u2064and the District&#8217;s Diversity,\u2062 Equity, \u2064and Inclusion director, Dang Yang. They were instructed \u2063to refer to Mr. Puccio as Ms. Puccio\u200b from now on. Puccio shared personal experiences of trauma and mentioned \u200ca <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mom-fights-school-district-for-hiding-script-read-to-students-about-teachers-gender-transition\/\" title=\"Mom battles school district over hidden script on teacher's gender transition.\">future transgender medical procedure<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>A Mother&#8217;s Frustration<\/h3>\n<p>Leah Buchman, a mother with children in \u200celementary, middle, and high school, was taken aback when her kids told her about the \u200bdiscussion and\u200d scripted announcements. She expressed her frustration, stating \u200cthat she had no idea what was\u2062 said and\u2063 found it difficult to address her\u2062 daughter&#8217;s questions.<\/p>\n<p>Buchman \u2063reached out\u2062 to \u200cthe school\u2064 to request a copy of the script but was denied. She then filed\u200c an open records request under the \u2064Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), only to be denied again. Feeling that the \u2064district was keeping secrets from parents, Buchman decided to take legal action.<\/p>\n<h3>Fighting for \u200bTransparency<\/h3>\n<p>Buchman filed a\u2062 lawsuit against the district for violating the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nbc-news-reporter-suggests-open-records-laws-are-being-abused-to-expose-crt-in-schools\/\" title=\"NBC News Reporter Suggests Open Records Laws Are Being Abused To Expose CRT In Schools\">open records law<\/a>. Buchman&#8217;s lawsuit has\u2064 shed light \u200con the issue, encouraging other parents to speak up and get involved.<\/p>\n<h3>A Nationwide Issue<\/h3>\n<p>The Wisconsin Institute for Law \u2064&#038; Liberty, representing Buchman, emphasizes \u200bthat what&#8217;s\u2063 happening \u2063in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is\u200c likely occurring in schools across \u2064the country.
