This sizeable cohort of the \u200celectorate, mostly young white \u2062men of middle- or \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jd-vance-blames-the-childless-left-for-the-decline-of-the-american-family\/\" title=\"JD Vance Blames The \u2018Childless Left\u2019 For The Decline Of The American Family\">working-class backgrounds<\/a>, \u2062had committed themselves to voting\u200c for\u2064 socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders.<\/p>\n<p>These voters were universally put off by the Democratic National Committee\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/magazine\/story\/2017\/11\/02\/clinton-brazile-hacks-2016-215774\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blatant rigging<\/a> of the \u200cnomination\u2063 process, using fundraising apparatuses, superdelegates and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2015\/12\/bernie-sanders-clinton-data-breach-216926\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">voter databases<\/a> to \u2064favor Hillary Clinton. Enraged \u200cand seeking someone\u200b to go to Washington and break things, many\u2062 \u201cBernie Bros\u201d threw their support behind Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, among my \u200bblue-collar friends and young colleagues of varying political persuasions, I am now \u2062seeing the\u2062 rise \u200bof the Trump-Kennedy voter.<\/p>\n<p>Like the Trump-Bernie\u200c voter,\u2063 these voters want immediate and radical policy change in Washington, and they don\u2019t \u2063really care how it \u2062happens. They are watching RFK Jr. get the same treatment from the \u2063DNC as Sanders in 2016,\u2064 and they\u200d do not like \u200bit.<\/p>\n<p>The DNC has \u2062refused to hold a debate\u200b between RFK\u200b Jr. and President Joe Biden. The corporate \u200cmedia, exemplified by \u200dthe always\u200c hypocritical \u201cDemocracy Dies in Darkness\u201d Washington Post, has done nothing to \u2064challenge (or cover)\u200d this. Instead, they have closed ranks around \u200dBiden, relentlessly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/nation\/2023\/07\/15\/robert-kennedy-jr-covid-conspiracy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attacking RFK Jr.<\/a> and\u200d shielding the \u2063DNC by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/monkey-cage\/wp\/2017\/11\/04\/no-the-dnc-didnt-rig-the-democratic-primary-for-hillary-clinton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perpetuating the myth<\/a> \u200d that \u200bprior primaries have not\u2063 been rigged.<\/p>\n<p>Circumventing the corrupt establishment media, Kennedy\u2063 is \u200cmaking a run on internet-based \u2064platforms. Indeed, the \u2064Trump-Kennedy \u2064voter\u2063 was \u2063birthed \u2064at the center of\u200d independent\u200d media \u2014 the Joe Rogan\u2062 podcast.<\/p>\n<p>RFK Jr.\u2019s recent\u200d bravura performance on Rogan was equal\u200b to The Beatles on Ed Sullivan. Everyone I know who listened to that podcast has\u200c said to me,\u200b \u2018This is new. This guy is amazing. I \u200bcould really vote for \u200dhim.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the Rogan <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/episode\/3DQfcTY4viyXsIXQ89NXvg?si=0b5ce39e9f1c400a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">podcast<\/a>, RFK Jr. noted that the same people who voted for his father in 1968 \u200balso voted for George Wallace in 1972. Not everyone \u200cwho voted\u200d for RFK \u200bin \u201968\u2064 or Wallace in \u200c\u201972 was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/past-the-point-of-no-return-iowa-dems-feel-hopes-fading\/\" title=\"'Past the Point of No Return'? Iowa Dems Feel Hopes Fading\">white working class<\/a>, but almost everyone\u200b who voted for both was.<\/p>\n<p>RFK Jr. \u2063is brushing up on\u2064 a truth of American politics: Everyday Americans are pissed, and they have been since at least\u2062 1968.<\/p>\n<p>White working-class and middle-class voters\u2063 are the \u2062only true swing \u200dvoters in America. Welfare \u200brecipients invariably vote Democrat. The wealthy, once a staple of\u2063 the Republican base, \u200bhave gradually realigned with the Democrats. Evangelicals and Hasidic\u2063 Jews \u200cvote Republican. Soldiers vote\u2063 Republican, while teachers\u2019 unions \u200bstrongly vote\u200b Democrat. Blacks and Hispanics\u2062 vote overwhelmingly Democrat, although the latter is starting \u2062to realign.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-admin-warned-infrastructure-bill-could-be-considered-racist\/\" title=\"Biden Admin Warned Infrastructure Bill Could Be Considered Racist\">white working-class<\/a> and middle-class \u2062voters are not ideologically\u200b rigid. Sanders socialism? Sure. Kennedy family internationalism? Sure. National\u2064 populism?\u200b Sure.<\/p>\n<p>America\u2019s hockey moms and Joe\u200d six-packs, \u2062as\u200b Sarah Palin would call them, are concerned with \u2064an end\u2064 result. They want secure borders, low inflation,\u200c no pointless \u200dforeign wars, robust American\u2062 manufacturing, patriotic public schools that \u2064teach\u2064 traditional values, and accountability for the totalitarianism we suffered under during COVID. The exact ideological reasoning used to get to these outcomes is immaterial to these voters.<\/p>\n<p>America\u2019s working class is currently\u200d aligned\u2064 with Trump. However, I am\u200b hearing murmurs among\u200d my friends and neighbors in middle America to the effect of, \u201cI never thought I would\u2063 vote Democrat after COVID, but\u2062 since my\u2064 state is kinda late\u200c in the \u200bprimaries, I may \u200bthrow my vote to Kennedy if Trump already has the nomination \u2064locked down or \u200dsomehow gets too far\u200c behind \u2064to\u200c win the nomination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, \u200bneither Kennedy nor Trump (nor anyone else) \u2062has a lock on these voters.<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy\u2019s voice has a strong Katharine\u200c Hepburn (in the latter years) quality to it, making it \u2064difficult to listen to him \u2064but \u2062for the quality of his message. This could be a hindrance in the age of audio-visual media, but \u2014 to quote <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/jG7D0u6wkaM?t=3857\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tallulah Bankhead<\/a> \u2014\u2063 \u201cKate has the most terrible voice I\u2019ve \u200dever heard.\u200d You go into a\u200c theater and you nearly \u200cdie for the first five \u200cminutes. And when you \u2062come \u200bout, if anybody else\u2062 talks, you can\u2019t stand it because they\u2019re so dull.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, Trump seems to be in a political bind.<\/p>\n<p>He only partially delivered \u200bon the southern border\u2063 wall, his largest campaign promise. On COVID, he is being hit\u200b from the right for having developed \u2064and promoted the vaccine\u2064 that Biden would eventually force on the entire country through the Occupational Safety and \u200bHealth Administration. This\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/op-ed-the-silent-rise-of-the-trump-kennedy-voter\/\" title=\"Op-Ed: Trump-Kennedy Voter: A Silent Surge\">unconstitutional action cost thousands<\/a> of people their jobs and made Biden unpopular. Ironically,\u200d the vaccine \u2062mandate may cost\u200d him his job\u200c too in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>With this in mind, it is clear that the Trump-Kennedy voter\u2064 can only go for \u200cTrump or Kennedy. Ron DeSantis\u2019 campaign is\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/desantis-makes-massive-campaign-change-struggles-gain-polls-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">struggling<\/a>; it appears he is hoping something will \u200cbreak \u2064for\u200c him\u2063 after the first GOP primary debates next month.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously \u2064sensing the emerging\u200c Trump-Kennedy voter, Desantis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/yLr1aeRRb1w?feature=share&#038;t=3260\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">took a swipe<\/a> \u2063at Kennedy last week, identifying\u200d several policy \u2064issues where conservatives\u200b would find RFK Jr. displeasing, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-admin-takes-wait-and-see-approach-to-china-trade\/\" title=\"Biden admin. takes \u2018wait and see\u2019 approach to China trade\">including climate change<\/a>.\u200d But this line of \u2064attack only works\u200d for\u200c die-hard conservatives; the cohort of Trump-Kennedy voters does not read Edmund Burke.<\/p>\n<p>Intellectually, DeSantis\u00a0is\u00a0correct,\u00a0but\u200d his attack missed\u00a0the mark for the same reason the \u2062Daily Mail <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-11982895\/RFK-Jrs-history-drug-addiction-womanizing-makes-run-president-long-shot.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">article<\/a> that attacked RFK for womanizing did \u2014 voters do not care about that sort\u200c of\u2063 thing. (Also, he \u2062is a Kennedy \u2014 womanizing is\u2064 to be expected.)<\/p>\n<p>This is a \u200dmatter \u2064of instinct.\u2062 The Trump-Kennedy voter is looking for \u2062a sincere sense that\u2064 whoever they vote for will fulfill promises.
