While intent is insufficient, the first step to being a good person is aspiring to be one, because, as Prager \u200dputs it, &#8220;You become what you want to be.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Key Qualities of a \u2062Good\u200c Person<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Honesty:<\/strong> \u200c Barring exceptional circumstances, lying is generally a very bad thing. Once you start lying, it tends to snowball into a web of deceit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Courage:<\/strong> Recognizing right from\u200b wrong is meaningless\u200b if\u2062 you\u200d aren&#8217;t \u2063willing\u2064 to do what&#8217;s right. Doing the right thing can be difficult \u200bor\u200c painful,\u2064 but it \u2064is foundational to being \u2062a good person.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kindness:<\/strong> \u200cGratitude \u200bis a keystone of \u2062happiness and goodness.
