The \u200bman and woman\u200b inside the vehicle fled the car\u200b on foot to a\u2064 nearby truck stop.<\/p>\n<p>Officer \u200cattempted to\u2064 use\u200d a \u2064taser on the man, but he pulled out \u200da gun, which caused the officers to retreat. However, no shots were fired at \u200bthe time.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, the pair\u2063 then highjacked a semi-truck from the truck stop, taking\u2063 the truck driver \u200balong\u2064 with them.<\/p>\n<p>The pair led police on\u200d a multi-county chase \u2064until around\u2062 3:30\u2063 a.m., driving through Clark, Greene, Madison,\u2064 and Montgomery counties. The\u2063 semi-truck then \u200bstopped on a Dayton International Airport access road.<\/p>\n<p>Ohio\u2063 State Highway \u2062Patrol\u200d Special Response \u200dTeam, \u200cand Montgomery County \u2062Sherriff\u2019s Office\u2064 personnel \u200bwere\u200b on scene to attempt to get the hostage and\u200d suspects out of the situation safely.<\/p>\n<p>The standoff ended around 7:30 \u2063a.m. \u2064local time as\u200d authorities approached the semi-truck. <\/p>\n<p>According to \u200bOhio State Highway Patrol, as officers approached the \u200cvehicle, one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/casino-robbery-leads-to-shootout-in-la\/\" title=\"Casino robbery leads to shootout in LA\">suspects opened fire<\/a> at them, causing them to shoot back, striking both the male and female suspects.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2064two suspects\u2064 were transported to a nearby hospital, where\u2062 the female suspect died from her injuries, and the male\u200c suspect remains\u2062 in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>The victim pulled out \u200cof the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hostage-situation-near-dayton-international-airport\/\" title=\"Hostage crisis near Dayton Airport.\">truck\u2064 suffered minor injuries<\/a> during the \u2062event.<\/p>\n<p>Stay informed!
