U.S. \u200dDistrict Judge Tanya Chutkan,\u2064 an\u2063 Obama \u200cappointee, has\u2064 been\u200b revealed \u200bto have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-president-trump-gives-pardons-to-73-individuals-and-commutes-another-70-sentences-steve-bannon-is-included\/\" title=\"BREAKING: President Trump Gives Pardons to 73 Individuals and Commutes Another 70 Sentences \u2013 Steve Bannon Is Included\">made significant contributions<\/a> to Barack \u2064Obama&#8217;s presidential campaign.<\/p>\n<h3>Political Donations and \u200dAllegations<\/h3>\n<p>According to campaign finance\u200d disclosures,\u200c Judge \u200bChutkan contributed \u200bapproximately\u200b $4,300 to Obama&#8217;s campaign and victory fund\u2062 between 2008\u200c and\u2064 2012. These donations were made while \u200dshe was\u200c working at the prominent law firm Boies Schiller Flexner.\u2062 Although she also supported Senator Kirsten Gillibrand&#8217;s campaign in 2008, there\u2062 is no record of her backing any federal candidates after September 2012.<\/p>\n<p>These ties to the \u200cObama administration have fueled allegations\u200d from \u200dRepublicans that the indictment and case against Trump are politically motivated. The GOP argues that the\u2063 Department of Justice and intelligence agencies have been weaponized\u200c against\u2064 conservative speech.<\/p>\n<h3>The Charges \u200cAgainst Trump<\/h3>\n<p>Trump \u200dnow faces an indictment\u2064 on four\u200c new charges related to his alleged efforts to challenge the results of\u200c the 2020 presidential election and\u200d incite the January 6th riot on Capitol Hill in 2021. In 2021, \u2063she denied a request from \u200cthe former \u2064president to\u2062 block the \u200bNational Archives from providing records on \u2062the Capitol\u2063 riot\u2063 to \u200bthe House select committee\u2062 investigating the events \u2062of that day.
