In \u200ca \u2063letter addressed\u200c to \u2062Secretary\u200b of State Antony Blinken, Cameron urged the administration to take stronger \u2064actions against\u200b China and Mexican cartels, who have historically been responsible for smuggling fentanyl \u200dinto\u2063 the country. Cameron\u2064 held \u2063Blinken accountable for the lenient policies that have allowed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-administration-hurries-to-protect-the-ruling-class-but-habitually-abandons-hardworking-americans\/\" title=\"Biden Administration Hurries To Protect The Ruling Class But Habitually Abandons Hardworking Americans\">national drug crisis<\/a> to escalate to epidemic\u200b proportions.<\/p>\n<h3>Trump Administration&#8217;s Efforts Wasted<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;This is exactly the\u2062 kind of effort \u2064the Trump Administration began \u200band \u2064that you have wasted,&#8221; Cameron wrote in his letter.<\/p>\n<p>The Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy has reported that 73% of overdose deaths in 2021 were caused\u200c by\u200c fentanyl, surpassing the national rate of 67%.<\/p>\n<p>In his letter, Cameron proposed several recommendations to the State Department.
