Files Lawsuit\u2064 Against Non-Profit Organization for Accessing Private Data<\/h2>\n<p>X Corp.,\u2062 the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/musk-threatens-lawsuit-against-researchers-who-reported-rise-in-hate-speech-on-x\/\" title=\"Musk warns of legal action over hate speech study on X.\">social\u2063 media company<\/a> formerly known as Twitter, has filed a lawsuit accusing the Center\u200d for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), a British non-profit organization, of unlawfully accessing private data.\u2063 The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, alleges \u2064that the CCDH orchestrated\u200d a &#8220;scare campaign&#8221; to drive away advertisers from the X \u2063platform by publishing reports on hate speech.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;CCDH has done this\u2062 by engaging in\u2064 a series of\u200b unlawful acts designed to improperly gain access to\u2062 protected X Corp. \u2064data, needed by CCDH so that it could cherry-pick from the hundreds of millions of posts made each day on X \u2063and falsely claim\u2064 it had statistical support showing the platform is overwhelmed with harmful content,&#8221; the lawsuit reads.<br \/>\n \u2063\n  <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The complaint comes after X attorney Alex \u200bSpiro sent a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/x-corp-sues-non-profit-over-scare-campaign-designed-to-drive-advertisers-away-from-social-media-platform-report\/\" title=\"X Corp. files lawsuit against non-profit for alleged 'scare campaign' targeting advertisers on social media platform: Report.\">letter threatening legal action<\/a> against the CCDH last\u200b month. Spiro accused the non-profit organization of making baseless claims to harm Twitter&#8217;s digital advertising business.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the CCDH claimed that X failed to act on 99% of &#8220;toxic&#8221; tweets involving racist, homophobic, neo-Nazi, antisemitic, or conspiracy content. X officials have labeled the report as false, stating that it was based on incorrect and outdated metrics.<\/p>\n<p>Months after\u200b purchasing \u2063the platform for $44 billion, X CEO Elon \u200dMusk announced a decrease \u200cin hate speech impressions. The company also wants to block the\u200c CCDH and its backers or employees from accessing data provided by X to the social media \u2062listening platform\u2062 Brandwatch.<\/p>\n<p>CCDH\u2064 founder\u200c and chief executive Imran Ahmed criticized Musk&#8217;s\u2063 legal action, stating that it is an\u200d attempt to silence those who highlight the toxic\u2063 content on \u200chis platform.
