Democratic city councilman Robert Holden boldly declared that President Joe Biden is \u2064&#8221;asleep\u2064 at the wheel&#8221; when it\u2063 comes to addressing this crisis.<\/p>\n<p>The rally took place amidst the city&#8217;s ongoing struggle to accommodate the massive influx \u2062of illegal\u2064 migrants from \u200dthe\u2063 southern border and Africa. Shockingly, dozens of migrants were\u200d left with no \u2063choice but to\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/dozens-of-migrants-sleep-on-sidewalk-outside-packed-nyc-hotel-turned-shelter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sleep on\u200c the sidewalks<\/a> outside the Roosevelt Hotel due to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/our-city-needs-help-nyc-dems-slam-biden-admin-for-migrant-crisis\/\" title=\"NYC Dems criticize Biden Admin over migrant crisis, call for assistance.\">insufficient shelter capacity<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Adams and other concerned <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/07\/26\/54-nyc-dems-letter-to-biden-do-something-about-the-migrant-crisis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">city officials<\/a> \u200dhave repeatedly \u2064appealed to the \u200cfederal government for assistance\u2062 in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/out-of-staters-donate-here-to-help-texans\/\" title=\"Out-Of-Staters: Donate Here To Help Texans\">providing shelter<\/a> for the nearly 100,000 migrants who have arrived in the city since\u200d 2022. However, \u2062the federal government has only committed $143\u2063 million so far, which is a\u2062 mere \u2062fraction of the\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/07\/31\/mayor-adams-warns-nyers-migrant-crisis-is-coming-to-a-neighborhood-near-you\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">estimated<\/a> $4.3 \u2062billion that Adams&#8217;s budget office \u200bhas projected the\u2064 crisis will cost the city, according to the\u2062 <em>Post<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The mayor \u200bhas expressed his dissatisfaction \u200cwith Biden&#8217;s offer of a single liaison between the city and the Department of Homeland Security, stating \u200bthat it falls short of what is\u2064 needed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We \u2063need\u200b to allow \u2063people \u2063to work.\u2063 There\u2019s nothing\u200d more\u200c anti-American than being denied the opportunity to\u200c work!
