Jim Jordan of the Judiciary Committee and James Comer of the Oversight Committee uncovered <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/05\/10\/bidens-made-millions-exchanging-political-favors-for-foreign-money-then-tried-to-cover-it-up-oversight-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bank records,<\/a> \u2064 threatened FBI Director Christopher Wray <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/05\/james-comer-announces-contempt-hearings-for-fbi-director-christopher-wray\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">with contempt<\/a> over his agency\u2019s\u2064 lack of cooperation, \u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/18\/7-things-the-house-oversight-committee-should-ask-irs-whistleblowers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hosted committee hearings<\/a>,\u2062 and recorded testimony from several\u200d whistleblowers and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/01\/evidence-of-biden-burisma-corruption-is-overwhelming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Biden business \u2064associates<\/a> that contribute to the mounting case against <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/01\/24\/biden-was-a-national-security-threat-long-before-his-classified-docs-fiasco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">POTUS\u2019s standing to \u200blead the nation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy not only supported his \u2063colleagues\u2062 as they revealed more details of Biden\u2019s influence-peddling\u2062 scheme, but he plans to use the information to fuel a presidential <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/biden-impeachment-mccarthy-hannity-78e4c7efeb030b29e1576f868257179b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">impeachment inquiry<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The same urgency can\u2019t be\u2062 found across the Capitol in \u200dthe upper chamber. Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley may have thrown himself headfirst into digging up the\u2064 Department of Justice,\u200b FBI, and president\u2019s malfeasance, but Senate GOP \u200dleadership has shown little to\u200c no interest in acting on the bombshells.<\/p>\n<p>In July alone, Grassley bypassed the FBI\u2019s\u200c stonewalling to release the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/20\/heres-everything-in-the-damning-fd-1023-document-that-implicates-biden-in-an-international-bribery-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">damning document<\/a> detailing \u200bhow Biden fired a Ukrainian prosecutor \u200dtasked with \u2062investigating the energy\u2063 company his son was a \u200bboard member of in \u200cexchange \u200cfor millions of dollars. Grassley also <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/06\/top-republicans-demand-federal-investigation-into-retaliation-against-irs-whistleblowers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">demanded<\/a> a probe \u2064into the IRS\u2019s retaliation against whistleblowers who spoke up\u200d about\u200b the agency\u2019s misconduct in the Hunter tax probe and\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/news\/news-releases\/grassley-johnson-senate-republicans-demand-doj-and-fbi-protect-whistleblowers-alleging-biden-bribery-scheme\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">warned<\/a> \u200dthe DOJ and FBI\u2062 against punishing the whistleblowers who shared information about \u2063the Biden bribery scheme.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-caf13bac8b7e6aebcede2d06e6df1148 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-caf13bac8b7e6aebcede2d06e6df1148\"><\/div>\n<p>Information \u2063like this should spark senators\u2019 calls\u200b for the impeachment of Biden\u2063 or Attorney General Merrick Garland. In \u200bthe least, inquiries and further \u2064investigation of \u2063the Biden family corruption \u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/25\/here-are-all-the-people-who-have-corroborated-biden-family-corruption\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">claims\u200b and corroboration<\/a> should be \u200dbubbling to the surface.<\/p>\n<p>Instead,\u200c Republicans like Senate Minority \u200cLeader Mitch \u200cMcConnell are silent. <\/p>\n<p>Every new piece of evidence pointing to the duplicity of \u2064the Bidens comes with a flood\u2064 of tweets and statements \u200bfrom\u200b House Republicans \u2062amplifying\u200b the \u2064news, \u2064condemning the corruption, and promising action. Grassley\u2019s monumental findings, even over just the last few weeks, however, \u200breceive no attention \u200cfrom \u200chis colleagues in the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>The press release banks and Twitter feeds of\u2064 McConnell, Republican Whip John Thune, GOP Conference Chair \u200dJohn Barrasso, GOP Policy Committee \u2063Chairwoman Joni \u2063Ernst,\u2064 Vice Chairwoman of the Senate Republican Conference\u200b Shelley Moore Capito, \u2064and Republican\u2064 Senatorial \u2063Committee Chairman \u200dSteve Daines were instead dominated with news about the National Defense Authorization \u2064Act, Democrats\u2019\u2063 latest attack on the integrity of the Supreme Court, and Bidenflation.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-40492a421671f485b42a093af8d976ff fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-40492a421671f485b42a093af8d976ff\"><\/div>\n<p>Unfortunately, the Senate GOP\u2019s \u200ccomplacency towards an\u200d issue that is \u2064gaining traction with their constituents is not new. As Federalist Western\u200c Correspondent Tristan Justice recently demonstrated, Republican senators on leadership, such\u2064 as McConnell,\u2062 routinely <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/01\/republicans-deserve-a-senate-leader-willing-to-defend-their-interests-over-democrats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">put their Democrat-adjacent political agenda<\/a> above the priorities of their voters.<\/p>\n<p>When the corrupt DOJ executed\u2062 a partisan raid on Trump\u2019s Florida home, it took more than 24 hours for all of Senate\u200c GOP leadership, except Sen. \u200cRick Scott, to condemn \u2064it. McConnell\u200c eventually issued a weak <a href=\"https:\/\/www.republicanleader.senate.gov\/newsroom\/press-releases\/statement-from-leader-mcconnell\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe country deserves a thorough and immediate explanation of \u200cwhat led\u200c to\u2064 the events of Monday,\u201d McConnell \u2063said. \u2063\u201cAttorney General\u2063 Garland and the\u2064 Department of \u2062Justice\u2064 should already have provided answers to the\u200d American people and must\u2063 do so immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Less \u200bthan one year later, McConnell <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/04\/19\/after-fbi-raids-republicans-last-president-mitch-mcconnell-wants-to-increase-doj-funding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">publicly contradicted<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/05\/majority-of-americans-want-corrupt-fbi-to-be-reformed-or-shut-down\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Americans\u2019<\/a> and Republicans\u2019 calls to \u2062defund the \u2063DOJ and \u200bFBI with a call\u2062 to \u201cspend more\u200d on law enforcement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think I can pretty safely say that I\u2019ve\u2063 not met any Republicans \u200cin Congress who want to spend less\u2064 on law enforcement,\u201d McConnell <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GarrettHaake\/status\/1648405855014998018?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Former President Donald Trump suggested at a rally in Pennsylvania last weekend that any \u200cSenate Republicans who fail to meet the moment on Biden family corruption deserve to lose their seat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey sit back, and they\u200d say, \u2018We have other priorities, we have to look at other things,&#8217;\u201d Trump said. \u201cAny \u2063Republican that doesn\u2019t act on Democrat fraud should be immediately primaried.
