min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>The social media platform, which was purchased by Elon Musk \u200bin \u20632022, alleged that the Center\u2063 for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) \u201cengaged in a series of unlawful acts designed to improperly gain access to protected X Corp. data,\u201d in a\u2062 lawsuit that was filed Monday in U.S. District\u200c Court \u200cfor the\u200b Northern District \u200cof California. <\/p>\n<p>The \u2062lawsuit is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bob-dylan-sued-for-allegedly-grooming-sexually-abusing-12-year-old-girl-in-the-1960s\/\" title=\"Bob Dylan Sued For Allegedly Grooming, Sexually Abusing 12-Year-Old Girl In The 1960s\">seeking unspecified damages<\/a>, with\u2064 interest, for allegations that include breach of contract, violation of the Computer \u2064Fraud and \u200cAbuse Act, intentional interference with contractual relations and inducing breach of contract. \u2064It also asks for the CCDH and\u2062 its agents \u2064to be banned from accessing materials licensed\u2064 to a tool that\u2064 X\u2019s attorneys claimed the group used to\u2064 obtain data. <\/p>\n<p>An\u2063 attorney representing X wrote to the CCDH on July 20<sup>th<\/sup>, threatening a lawsuit due to the research\u2064 published regarding the site\u2019s hate speech and content \u2064moderation. <\/p>\n<p>The\u2064 letter also accused the\u2063 organization of making \u201ca series of troubling and baseless claims that appear calculated to harm X generally, and \u2062its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/musk-threatens-to-sue-misinformation-researchers-over-claims-of-hate-on-twitter\/\" title=\"Musk warns of legal action against misinformation researchers for hate allegations on Twitter.\">digital advertising \u200bbusiness specifically<\/a>,\u201d as well as receiving \u2064funds from some of X\u2019s competitors to publish the \u200creport.<\/p>\n<p>Musk is a \u2063self-professed free\u2064 speech advocate and has reinstated many banned accounts since \u2063his purchase of the company, \u2062including Former \u200bPresident \u200bDonald Trump.\u00a0Despite the move to promote free \u200cspeech, far-left critics have attacked Musk for inciting\u2062 hate speech and misinformation on the platform. \u200c <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cElon Musk\u200b wants \u2063to silence his critics so he can\u2062 continue to give\u200d a megaphone to hate and misinformation while avoiding the consequences,\u201d \u2062CCDH CEO Imran Ahmed\u2064 posted on X.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The CCDH is a nonprofit organization that operates out of the U.S. and United Kingdom. \u2063The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/x-corp-sues-researchers-who-reported-rise-in-hate-speech-on-platform\/\" title=\"X Corp. takes legal action against researchers for reporting hate speech increase on platform.\">nonprofit regularly crafts reports<\/a> on hate speech, extremism, or harmful behavior on social media platforms. <\/p>\n<p>In \u200dthe\u200b past, the organization \u200dhas published several \u200breports criticizing Musk\u2019s leadership, \u2062highlighting a\u200d reported increase\u2064 in anti-LGBTQ hate speech as well as \u2063\u201cclimate misinformation\u201d since his \u2062purchase of the site.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote data-service=\"twitter\" data-category=\"marketing\" data-placeholder-image=\"https:\/\/c3.oann.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/complianz-gdpr\/assets\/images\/placeholders\/twitter-minimal.jpg\" class=\"cmplz-placeholder-element twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Good question. \u200dThis appears to be \u2064foreign government interference. <\/p>\n<p>Can\u2019t\u200b wait \u2063to get their donors under deposition!<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Elon Musk\u2063 (@elonmusk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1686057419602903057?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July \u200d31,\u200b 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script type=\"text\/plain\" data-service=\"twitter\" data-category=\"marketing\" async data-cmplz-src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Ahmed\u2064 has stated that he \u2062is worried about X\u2019s response to the \u2063center\u2019s work\u2063 claiming it could \u2064frighten other \u200cresearchers away from studying\u200c the social media\u2062 platform. He \u2062also stated he is worried other social media sites will copy this strategy.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThis is an \u2064unprecedented\u2063 escalation by a\u2063 social media \u200ccompany against\u200b independent researchers.
