min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>China\u2019s factory underperformance stood out once again and underlined its struggling recovery \u2013 perhaps the main driver of stalling industrial activity everywhere. <\/p>\n<p>With markets increasingly impatient at the patchy and underwhelming economic stimulus \u200dplans seen from Beijing\u200c so \u200dfar, China stocks fell back, bucking Tuesday\u2019s wider Asia stocks rally. <\/p>\n<p>A Federal Reserve survey late Monday showed how\u2064 more than a year\u200b of sharp interest rate increases had weighed\u200b on credit to the wider economy in the second quarter \u2013 but hopes of \u2018peak rates\u2019 worldwide were encouraged when Australia\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/marketmind-august-cools-wall-st-stocks\/\" title=\"August brings a cool down for Wall Street stocks.\">central bank unexpectedly paused policy tightening<\/a> again.<\/p>\n<p>Led in\u200c part by a resulting recoil \u2064in the Australian dollar, the U.S. dollar \u200bsurged \u2064to its best level in three weeks as the relatively upbeat U.S. economic constellation \u200bcontrasted with stiffer conditions abroad.  <\/p>\n<p>Chicago Fed chief Austan Goolsbee said on Monday the Fed is now on \u201cthe golden path\u201d\u200b of bringing\u200b down inflation without causing a recession \u2013 but added\u2064 no final decision \u2064had been made on September\u2019s policy meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Excess credit \u2063tightening after \u200dthe March bank sector stress \u2064appears to have been the \u201cdog that has not been barking,\u201d Goolbee said, and the more restrictive loan conditions he had seen were in line with what Fed policy had intended to engineer.<\/p>\n<p>But with property lending\u2064 showing up as a particular cause of concern in Fed lending surveys, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/home-sales-tumbled-7-in-november\/\" title=\"Home Sales Tumbled 7% in November\">real estate remains<\/a> a worry for many investors \u2062around the world.<\/p>\n<p>With the Bank of \u2064England set to lift UK interest rates \u200cagain later this week, the latest data showed British house prices fell\u2062 3.8% in the year through July \u2013 their fastest fall since the\u2064 aftermath of the banking crash of 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Sterling and UK stocks fell back.<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise, the focus in\u2062 U.S. hours will \u2062be on another sweep of corporate earnings, with chipmaker AMD in focus during a bumper season for semiconductor firms and Caterpillar likely\u2063 to reflect the more \u200dsubdued industrial economy\u2062 by contrast. <\/p>\n<p>Big Pharma also looms large, with updates from Pfizer and Merck.
