While Democrats \u2063are facing a tough map next year, some of the most vulnerable are outraising \u200dRepublicans, according to the latest campaign filings.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly two dozen Democratic seats are up for reelection in 2024, with seven \u200dincumbents seen as vulnerable, while only\u2063 10 Republicans face\u2062 reelection. Incumbent Democratic Senators playing defense\u2064 in\u2064 three states won\u200c by former President\u200b Donald\u200b Trump in 2020 (Ohio, Montana, and West \u2062Virginia) \u2063have raised more money than they have\u2063 previously at this\u2062 point\u200c in earlier \u2062cycles.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Sen. Sherrod Brown\u200b (D-OH) Raises $5 Million<\/h3>\n<p>Sen. Sherrod Brown\u2063 (D-OH) announced\u200d a fundraising haul of $5 million\u2064 for the second quarter \u200bof 2023, \u200dwith $8.7 million \u2064in cash on hand. \u2063His seat is\u200d rated a toss-up by the Cook \u200dPolitical Report. Brown had $8.7 million in\u2063 cash on hand. A\u200c Republican\u2062 challenger, Bernie Moreno, \u2062who was endorsed by Sen. J.D. Vance \u200b(R-OH), brought\u2063 in\u200c $2.2 million. Another Republican challenger, state Sen.\u200d Matt Dolan, raised $323,000 between April and\u200c June, which is about the same as he raised during the first three months\u2063 of \u200b2023. Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose also announced\u2062 his candidacy in mid-July, so it is too early to report on \u2064his fundraising efforts.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) Breaks Fundraising Record<\/h3>\n<p>In the second quarter of\u200c 2023,\u2063 Sen. Jon Tester&#8217;s (D-MT) reelection campaign also announced that he raised $5 million,\u200c breaking his \u2062record for non-election-year\u2064 fundraising. The new \u200dnumbers come after former Navy \u2064SEAL Tim Sheehy announced his candidacy to \u200brun on the Republican side.\u2063 He \u200bis supported by National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Steve Daines (R-MT) and \u2063endorsed by\u2063 Gov. Greg Gianforte (R-MT).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV)\u200d Raises $1.3 Million<\/h3>\n<p>Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), a red state Democrat who has not said yet if he will run for reelection and has been flirting with\u2062 a third<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/spoiler-alert-prominent-leftist-scholar-announces-3rd-party-presidential-run\/\" title=\"Spoiler Alert? Prominent Leftist Scholar Announces 3rd-Party Presidential Run\">-party presidential run<\/a>, raised $1.3 million during the second \u2062quarter and has more than $10 million in\u200b the bank. That\u2019s more than\u200c opponent Gov. Jim Justice (R-WV), who raised $935,035 from \u200d5,526 individual donors, and Rep. Alex Mooney (R-WV), who raised $411,192.76 in the second quarter. Manchin\u2019s race is currently ranked as a toss-up by\u2062 the Cook Political Report.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Democtrats are touting this fundraising as\u2064 a sign donors\u2064 are enthusiastic about Democratic candidates \u2063despite a difficult 2024 cycle ahead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVoters\u200b and grassroots supporters are\u200c once again supporting battle-tested\u2064 Senate Democratic candidates in record ways because they recognize the stakes of this election and the\u2062 importance of stopping Republicans from implementing their toxic agenda,\u201d \u200bsaid Tommy\u2063 Garcia, a spokesman for the\u2063 Democratic Senatorial\u2063 Campaign Committee in a statement provided to the\u2063 Washington Examiner.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) Raises Over $4 Million<\/h3>\n<p>In Pennsylvania, Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) brought \u200bin more than $4 million for his reelection bid. He has \u2063no Republican \u2064opponent, although the \u200bNRSC is working\u200c hard to recruit David McCormick, a former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/free-beacon-poll-mccormick-overtakes-oz-in-pa-primary\/\" title=\"Free Beacon Poll: McCormick Overtakes Oz in PA Primary\">hedge fund executive<\/a>. Sen. Tammy \u200bBaldwin (D-WI) raised $3.2 million, which her\u200b campaign\u200d claims is\u2063 the most ever raised\u200d in an off-year quarter of a Wisconsin\u2064 senate\u2064 race. Both races are ranked as lean\u2063 Democratic\u200b by the Cook Political Report.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) Outraises Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ)<\/h3>\n<p>In Arizona, Rep. Ruben Gallego\u2062 (D-AZ) raised more than incumbent Sen.\u200b Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), who changed her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/black-georgia-lawmaker-hit-with-racist-hate-mail-after-switching-to-gop\/\" title=\"Black Georgia lawmaker receives racist hate mail following party switch to GOP.\">party\u2063 affiliation<\/a> from \u2062Democrat to\u2064 independent late last\u200b year.\u2064 Gallego, who launched a bid for Sinema\u2019s seat in January, brought in $3.1 million\u200d from April 1 through June 30. Sinema, who has not yet said whether she will \u200brun for a\u2063 second term, raised $1.7 million. Sinema has nearly\u2062 $10.8 \u200cmillion in her bank \u200baccount \u2014 almost three times more than Gallego. Only one major \u2064Republican, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, is in \u200bthe race.\u2064 He\u200c reported raising $608,000\u2062 in the second quarter.
