Harris had cherry-picked a single \u2064sentence from the extensive 216-page outline to support her \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/media-say-bidens-female-led-comms-is-a-first-trump-has-that-now\/\" title=\"Media Say Biden's Female-Led Comms Is A First. Trump Has That Now\">false claims<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>ABC News \u2064reporter Linsey Davis presented \u2063Dr. Allen&#8217;s \u200ccomments\u200c in a favorable light,\u2062 stating that he\u200d merely \u200dsuggested Harris&#8217; position was \u200b&#8221;ideological \u200bposturing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Challenging Harris&#8217; Claims<\/h3>\n<p>Davis \u200casked \u2064Harris for her response to Dr. Allen&#8217;s remarks, \u2062to which Harris \u200cinsinuated that Allen was not being truthful.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Well, I think that this is just a matter \u200cof whether one chooses to speak fact and truth or\u2064 not, and it&#8217;s pretty much that simple,&#8221; Harris asserted. &#8220;I \u200ddon&#8217;t think that this is subject to\u2064 any ideological debate\u200b to say that\u2063 people who were enslaved did not benefit from slavery, period.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Harris continued, emphasizing the absurdity\u2064 of having to state the obvious: &#8220;There are so-called leaders, extremists, who are attempting to require in our nation \u2064an unnecessary debate with the intention, I believe, to try and divide us as Americans.
