Buried within the depths of the report is the shocking revelation that over five million Americans who are not working were not even counted \u200cin the official unemployment\u2064 rate, which stands at 3.6 percent.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Every American\u200c willing to work\u2063 hard should be able to get\u200b a job \u2064no matter where they live \u2013 in the heartland, in small towns, in big cities \u2013 to raise \u200dtheir kids\u2063 on a good paycheck and keep their roots where they \u2062grew up.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the American dream.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s Bidenomics. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/QtLmYZJBp6\">pic.twitter.com\/QtLmYZJBp6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 President \u2063Biden (@POTUS) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS\/status\/1685295365279432706?\">July 29, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The \u2063report states, &#8220;The number of persons not in the \u200blabor force \u200bwho currently want a job\u200d was 5.4\u200b million in\u200d June, little changed\u200c from the prior month.&#8221; These individuals were not considered unemployed because\u2062 they were not actively\u2063 seeking \u2063employment \u200cor were unavailable to take \u200ba job.<\/p>\n<p>Unemployment, according to the official definition, requires individuals to have made specific active efforts to find employment. This means being involved in some government-linked\u2062 activity to\u2063 find work, for example.<\/p>\n<p>The report also highlights that 1.1 million people are classified as long-term unemployed, having been out \u2062of work for\u2063 27 weeks \u2063or more. They\u200b predict a slowdown in \u200ceconomic growth, with the growth of real\u200b gross domestic product (GDP)\u200c projected to\u2064 slow to a 0.4 percent annual rate \u200din the second half of 2023. This slowdown will lead to an\u200c increase in unemployment, with \u200bthe rate reaching 4.1 percent by the \u200bend of 2023 and 4.7 percent by the\u200b end of 2024, before slightly declining to 4.5 percent in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The CBO&#8217;s\u200c most\u2063 recent report also projects a decline in job \u2063growth,\u2062 with the number of added \u200djobs in the \u200beconomy projected to fall from an average of 298,000 per month in the first half of 2023 \u200dto \u200ban average of 111,000\u200d per month in \u2062the second half.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the report reveals that the true\u200c state of the economy\u200b is not accurately reflected \u2062in the official\u200d unemployment numbers.\u2064 Millions of unemployed individuals are not counted, and many Americans are struggling to find \u200bfull-time employment.
