However, Jordan, a \u200dmember of the House Judiciary Committee, \u200dargued that Joe Biden&#8217;s involvement was more significant than what was initially claimed. He mentioned two dinners attended \u2064by Joe Biden, \u200dHunter Biden, Devon Archer, \u2063and even the \u200cwealthiest \u2062woman in Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Archer testified \u2063that the first dinner \u2063took place in 2014 and was attended by Russian billionaire Elena Baturina, the widow of a former Moscow mayor. \u2062A Senate report revealed that Baturina wired $3.5 million to\u200c a company associated with Hunter Biden\u2063 and Devon Archer in\u200d 2014. The extent of Hunter Biden&#8217;s access to those funds \u200dremains disputed.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Archer stated that Hunter Biden had put his father on speakerphone with his\u2062 business associates \u200cand friends approximately 20\u200b times over a span \u2063of 10 years. \u2064However, it\u2062 was emphasized \u200cthat these conversations were casual and did not involve \u2063any business\u200b matters.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan argued\u200c that these phone conversations were significant, as they contradicted Joe Biden&#8217;s previous denial of involvement. He suggested that the \u200cpurpose of these calls \u2064was to showcase influence and promote &#8220;the \u200bbrand&#8221; that Devon Archer had mentioned.<\/p>\n<p>Another\u2062 Republican\u2064 member\u2064 present for the testimony, Rep. Andy Biggs, \u200balso found the mention of &#8220;the\u2064 brand&#8221; noteworthy.
