The letter from X&#8217;s attorney warned that the company would use all legal tools at its disposal to prevent false or misleading claims from harming its users, platform, or business.<\/p>\n<h3>Non-Profit CEO Responds to X&#8217;s Actions<\/h3>\n<p>Imran Ahmed, CEO of the \u2064CCDH, issued a statement in\u2062 response to Musk&#8217;s actions, calling them a brazen attempt to silence\u200c honest criticism and independent research. Ahmed stated that the letter marked an unprecedented escalation \u200bbetween X \u2063and independent \u200dresearchers, and he warned that if Musk succeeded in silencing them, other\u2064 researchers would be targeted next.<\/p>\n<p>Attorney Roberta Kaplan, representing the CCDH, responded to Spiro&#8217;s letter \u200dby cautioning X about the risks of bringing frivolous claims to intimidate\u2064 critics and stifle legitimate commentary on matters\u200b of public interest.<\/p>\n<p>Musk himself took to his X account to respond\u200b to the news, \u2064suggesting\u2064 that the CCDH should save their words for the jury.
