This denial comes after the \u200bDOJ requested Archer to report\u2064 to prison over \u200ba separate case. Archer, who sat on the board of \u2064Ukrainian gas company\u2062 Burisma\u200b with\u2064 Hunter Biden, testified behind\u2062 closed doors to the House Oversight\u200c Committee about Joe Biden&#8217;s involvement in Ukraine policy while Hunter Biden was on \u2062the board.<\/p>\n<p>Speculation arose that the DOJ was attempting to intimidate\u200c Archer by requesting his prison sentence to begin before \u200chis congressional testimony. However, the DOJ clarified that the process of sending Archer to \u200bprison would take several weeks or months \u2063and would not interfere with his testimony.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter to Judge Ronnie Abrams, overseeing Archer&#8217;s\u200b fraud case,\u2064 the DOJ requested Archer\u2064 to surrender to a \u2064designated facility after his congressional testimony is completed.
