Allies of former President \u200dDonald \u2064Trump are calling for\u200d an impeachment \u200dinquiry against Joe \u200bBiden.<\/p>\n<p>House Republicans allege that Hunter Biden used his father&#8217;s status\u2064 as vice president in an <a title=\"Jonathan Emord: DOJ Scrambles to Find Non-Existent Evidence of \u201cIntent\u201d\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jonathan-emord-doj-scrambles-to-find-non-existent-evidence-of-intent\/\">influence peddling scheme<\/a> while sitting on\u2064 the board of \u200bUkraine \u2064energy \u2062company Burisma \u2062nearly a decade ago. They hope Archer can\u200b provide evidence that the \u200cpresident was directly involved in\u2064 his son&#8217;s alleged dealings.<\/p>\n<p>Burisma played a central role \u2063in Trump&#8217;s 2019 impeachment \u2062over his alleged efforts\u2064 to pressure Ukraine to investigate the Bidens\u200b and help him win re-election. \u200cA Republican-majority Senate later acquitted Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Representative\u2064 Jamie Raskin, the committee&#8217;s top Democrat, said last \u200cweek that the Republican investigation of the Bidens has\u2063 shown\u200b a pattern of\u2063 concealing key evidence to advance &#8220;a false \u200band\u2064 distorted narrative&#8221; and has\u2063 failed to develop any \u2063evidence of wrongdoing.<\/p>\n<p>Claims of Biden wrongdoing \u200din Ukraine\u200b have also been\u2064 contradicted \u200dby former Trump insider Lev \u200cParnas, who helped former \u2064New\u200d York City \u2063Mayor and one-time Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani try to dig up damaging \u200cinformation\u2063 about the Bidens\u2063 in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>But Republicans remain undaunted.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We know that Devon \u200bArcher has met and communicated many, many times with \u200dJoe Biden about \u200bBurisma and other\u2064 things,&#8221; House\u2062 Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer \u2063told\u200c Fox News on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Comer&#8217;s committee \u2064has also heard\u2062 testimony\u200d from two Internal Revenue Service whistleblowers who say their investigation of Hunter Biden was stymied by the U.S. Justice Department, claims that House Republicans view as evidence of political influence\u200b to ensure a lenient treatment \u200cfor the president&#8217;s \u2063son.<\/p>\n<p>Biden&#8217;s son appeared in court \u2064last week amid\u2064 expectations that he would plead guilty to\u200d two\u2064 tax charges and avoid a gun charge. \u200dBut the judge in the case said she could not accept the plea \u2062agreement with prosecutors.<\/p>\n<p>House \u2064Speaker Kevin McCarthy\u2063 warned last week that Republicans \u200ccould\u2064 begin\u200d an\u200b impeachment inquiry against President Biden if the federal agencies fail to \u200bcooperate with <a title=\"Hunter Biden's former business partner testifies to House Republicans under oath.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-hunter-bidens-ex-business-partner-is-speaking-under-oath-to-house-republicans\/\">oversight committees probing<\/a>\u2063 his administration \u200cand family&#8217;s business dealings.<\/p>\n<p>Some Republicans dismissed the warning as part of \u2062an effort\u2062 by the speaker \u2063to rally \u200chis House majority \u2062behind appropriations bills, as the chamber prepares for\u200b a showdown over spending \u2064with the Democratic-led Senate.<\/p>\n<h3>Reporting by David \u200dMorgan and Jonathan \u200bErnst; Editing by Lisa Shumaker<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>hope that Archer&#8217;s testimony will provide evidence to support their claims of corruption within the Biden family.
