He added \u2062that Elias deploys a style \u200bof litigation \u200cbenefiting a &#8220;Democratic Party that only\u2064 likes \u2063the laws that work for them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Heading into the 2024 elections, Elias Law Group \u2063is working on behalf of various Democratic House and Senate\u2064 committees and has recently received payments from campaign accounts\u2063 affiliated with Senate Majority Leader\u2062 Chuck Schumer (D-NY),\u200c Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), and Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA),\u2063 to name a few, Federal Election Commission filings show. Elias and his tactics\u2064 have \u2063long been ripe for scrutiny from Republicans, who slammed the lawyer \u2062last\u200d year for\u2062 boosting\u200b that the 14th Amendment \u2063could hypothetically be used to disqualify those\u200c who purportedly were tied to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot from political office.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden\u200d administration reportedly soured on Elias over him not consulting the White\u2062 House or DNC prior to filing\u2064 election and voting rights lawsuits, and government officials sometimes only learned about lawsuits \u200conce he announced them on MSNBC or social media. \u200cThe\u2063 rift is a window into setbacks\u200b of \u2063late linked\u200c to Elias, who was\u2063 general counsel for Hillary Clinton&#8217;s 2016 presidential campaign and\u200b commissioned the Trump-Russia dossier.<\/p>\n<p>Elias hired the firm Fusion GPS, which, in 2016, brought on British ex-spy Christopher Steele,\u200c who was offered &#8220;up to $1 million&#8221; by the FBI before the election to prove the\u2064 dossier&#8217;s\u2063 claims against Trump but never \u2064got the cash \u200bdue to\u2063 a lack of evidence, FBI supervisory analyst Brian Auten testified\u2064 in October 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Elias\u200b was also sanctioned in \u200b2021 by a Texas appeals court in connection to &#8220;misleading&#8221; statements of his\u2064 over\u2063 an election dispute. \u200bIn April 2023, Backer&#8217;s group accused the lawyer&#8217;s firm and the Democratic \u2063Congressional Campaign Committee in\u200c an FEC complaint\u200c of\u200b &#8220;apparent \u2063civil violations&#8221;\u2064 over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-red-wave-of-conservative-women-elected-to-congress\/\" title=\"The Red Wave of Conservative Women Elected to Congress\">election law<\/a>. However, \u200dElias Law Group recently touted how\u2062 it scored a win in Moore v. Harper at the Supreme Court, which rejected the &#8220;independent state\u200d legislature theory&#8221; holding that states can handle federal elections barring state court review.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s no surprise \u200cthat\u2062 the DNC severed ties with\u200c Marc Elias, considering his many losses, leaving\u200b Arabella Advisors and their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/phillys-soros-backed-da-wins-primary-in-a-landslide\/\" title=\"Philly\u2019s Soros-Backed DA Wins Primary In A Landslide\">deep-pocketed donors<\/a> to pick up the\u200c tab for his misadventures,&#8221; \u2062Jason Snead,\u2064 executive director of the conservative Honest Elections Project, told the Washington\u2063 Examiner, referring to how Elias has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/marc-elias-democratic-superlawyer-ousted-from-biden-team-following-dnc-split\/\" title=\"Marc Elias, prominent Democratic lawyer, removed from Biden team after DNC disagreement.\">worked alongside major left-wing dark\u2064 money organizations<\/a> to launch election litigation.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Axios, a source familiar with the tensions between \u2062Elias \u2063and Biden&#8217;s team said\u2063 the\u2063 attorney &#8220;was\u200c consistently giving [the DNC] and the president&#8217;s team the middle finger.&#8221; Another source emphasized that Elias &#8220;created a \u2064legal \u2062strategy he has\u200b convinced people is a political strategy, that it is actually \u200ca business strategy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Some of \u200dthe tension\u200b reportedly stems from Elias\u2064 and Bauer&#8217;s &#8220;complicated relationship.&#8221; Elias,\u200b for instance, openly slammed a piece of 2022 election legislation that Bauer helped shape.
