Liz Cheney to live debate of \u2018stolen election\u2019\">recently responded<\/a> to former President Donald Trump&#8217;s accusation that he was &#8220;disloyal&#8221; for entering the 2024 presidential\u2062 race. DeSantis \u2063firmly stated that \u2064politicians cannot <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/desantis-on-trumps-claim-hes-disloyal-were-a-republic-were-not-a-monarchy-its-nobodys-turn\/\" title=\"DeSantis responds to Trump's accusation of disloyalty: \"We're a republic, not a monarchy. No one is entitled.\"\">expect unwavering support<\/a> from voters and must earn it.<\/p>\n<p>During\u2062 an interview with Megyn Kelly, DeSantis\u200d addressed \u2062Trump&#8217;s claim that he had begged for an endorsement with tears in his eyes \u200dduring \u2062the 2018 Florida gubernatorial race. DeSantis laughed off the accusation,\u200b recounting how he had openly approached Trump on Air Force One and asked for his support, to which \u200bTrump agreed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But\u200b here&#8217;s the \u2064thing,&#8221; DeSantis emphasized,\u2064 &#8220;politicians have to earn support. Nobody&#8217;s entitled to it. \u200bMy loyalty lies\u2064 with my family, our Constitution, and God. I will work with politicians to advance what I believe is best for Florida and the country. But ultimately, it&#8217;s about who can get the job done.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis also pointed out the inconsistency in Trump&#8217;s accusations, highlighting \u2063that Trump does not\u200d criticize his own vice president or ambassador to the\u2064 U.N. for running against him. DeSantis believes that Trump sees him as the \u2064only threat\u2062 to winning the nomination.<\/p>\n<p>When asked\u2062 about Trump supporters who argue that it&#8217;s not DeSantis&#8217; &#8220;turn&#8221; and that Trump &#8220;deserves&#8221; another\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rise-in-violence-its-much-bigger-than-police\/\" title=\"Rise In Violence: It\u2019s Much Bigger Than Police\">shot due<\/a> to perceived \u2064mistreatment during his first term and the\u2064 election, DeSantis\u2064 firmly rejected the notion. \u200bHe \u2064reminded\u200c everyone \u2062that America is a republic, not a monarchy, and that anyone has the \u2062right\u2064 to put themselves forward \u200cfor the\u200d presidency.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In my view,&#8221; DeSantis\u2062 asserted, &#8220;2024 is a \u2063make-or<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mansour-the-pilgrims-progress-honoring-our-forefathers-on-the-400th-anniversary-of-the-first-and-most-expensive-thanksgiving\/\" title=\"Mansour: The Pilgrims\u2019 Progress \u2013 Honoring Our Forefathers on the 400th Anniversary of the First (and Most Expensive) Thanksgiving\">-break moment<\/a> for this country.
