Prosecutors accused Trump and aides\u2063 of asking an\u2062 employee \u2062of \u200cTrump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago resort in\u200c Florida to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/donald-trump-indicted-who-is-carlos-de-oliveira\/\" title=\"Carlos De Oliveira: The man behind Donald Trump's indictment.\">delete security camera footage<\/a> \u2062so evidence could not be provided \u200bto a federal grand \u200bjury.<\/p>\n<p>Trump categorically\u200c denied the \u200caccusations and insisted his team handed the tapes to \u2064the DOJ.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cMar-a-Lago \u2064security tapes\u2063 were not deleted,\u201d Trump wrote on TRUTH Social. \u2063\u201cThey were\u200d voluntarily handed over \u2064to the \u2063thugs, headed up by deranged Jack \u2062Smith.\u200d We did\u200c not even \u200cgo to court\u200d to\u2063 stop them \u2064from getting these tapes. I never told anybody to delete them. Prosecutorial fiction &#038; misconduct! Election interference!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In a follow-up post, the former president compared the \u200blatest accusation to \u2063the \u201cRussia,\u200b Russia, Russia HOAX.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThey knowingly accuse you of\u2062 a \u200cfake crime, a\u200d crime \u2064that \u200dthey actually make\u2062 up, you \u200bfight these false charges hard, \u2063and they try and get you on \u2062\u201cobstruction.\u201d We are\u200b dealing with\u2063 sick and evil people!\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>DOJ\u200b prosecutors claim in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-dismisses-allegations-from-deranged-special-counsel-that-he-deleted-mar-a-lago-security-tapes\/\" title=\"Trump denies claims by 'deranged' special counsel that he deleted Mar-a-Lago security tapes.\">latest court filings \u200dreported<\/a> by The Epoch \u200cTimes \u2062that Mar-a-Lago\u2064 staffer Carlos De Olivera told another employee\u200c that \u201cthe boss\u201d wanted a server \u201cdeleted\u201d on June 27, 2022 \u2014 about two months\u200b before FBI agents raided Trump\u2019s home\u200b where they allegedly discovered documents in a storage \u200carea.<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s attorney \u200bAlina Habba\u2064 reiterated her client\u2019s \u200ddismissal of the claims \u2064during \u200dan interview with Fox News on Sunday.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWhat was\u200b the obstruction \u200cof justice? \u2062Because no tapes were deleted,\u201d Habba said. \u201cHe turned them over. He cooperated as he always does. But they would like the American public \u200bto believe\u2064 in these bogus \u200bindictments.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In\u200d a\u2064 third\u200d Truth Social post \u200dfrom Trump, the \u2064former \u2064president said the Justice Department\u2062 allegedly admitted that the tapes \u200bwere not \u200bdeleted.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe Crooked \u2062Election\u2063 Interference \u2062\u2018Thugs\u2019 from the DOJ, headed by the worst Thug of\u200d them all, Deranged Jack \u2063Smith, are now \u200cadmitting\u200d that the \u200bMar-a-Lago Security Tapes\u200b were NOT\u2062 DELETED,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s not what they were \u2062illegally leaking to the press. These guys should be prosecuted for MISCONDUCT. Also,\u2062 whatever happened to Crooked Joe\u2019s Documents? Where are\u200d the ones he sent and stored in Chinatown? Is Deranged Jack going\u2064 to Indict \u2063him for\u200c this and, \u2062at the same time, receiving BRIBES FROM CHINA?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Trump, who pleaded not guilty to the \u200d37 federal counts he \u2062previously faced\u2064 in the documents \u2064case, contended\u2062 that the charges \u2064are a continuation of a \u2062\u201cwitch hunt\u201d\u2064 against \u200chim and his supporters.<\/p>\n<p>The legal jeopardy Trump faces \u2062extends beyond the documents case.
