(Photo by Jeff Swensen\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>OAN\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/tag\/brooke-mallory\">Brooke Mallory<\/a><br \/>3:47 PM \u2064\u2013 Sunday, July 30, 2023<\/p>\n<p>Former President Donald Trump has adamantly denied any attempts to have surveillance footage at his private\u200c residence deleted after special counsel Jack\u2064 Smith handed\u200c down a superseding indictment on Thursday night.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\" style=\"min-width: 320px; min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cMar-a-Lago security tapes were not\u200c deleted,\u201d Trump said on the Truth Social platform. \u201cThey were \u2063voluntarily handed over to the \u200dthugs, headed up\u200d by deranged Jack Smith.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cWe did\u2063 not even\u200b go to\u2063 court to stop them \u200bfrom getting these\u200d tapes. I never told anybody to delete them. Prosecutorial fiction &#038; misconduct! Election interference!\u201d\u2064 He continued.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The 45<sup>th<\/sup> president also said that weaponizing justice on a \u201cfake \u200ccrime\u201d is actually an \u200battempt to catch him on \u201cobstruction.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cSame as the Russia, Russia, Russia HOAX,\u201d Trump added in a separate post. \u201cThey knowingly accuse\u200c you of a fake crime, a crime that they \u2062actually make up, you fight these false charges hard, and \u2062they try and get you on\u200d \u2018obstruction.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Just hours later, on Truth Social, Trump stated \u200dthat Smith\u2019s Justice Department \u201cthugs\u201d are \u201cnow admitting\u201d that the Mar-a-Lago surveillance \u2064tapes\u200d were\u2062 not even deleted, like what was initially claimed.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThe \u2064crooked election interference \u2018thugs\u2019 from the DOJ, headed by the worst thug of them all, Deranged Jack Smith, are now admitting that the Mar-a-Lago security tapes were NOT DELETED,\u201d Trump said. \u201cThat\u2019s not what they were illegally leaking to the press\u2026 These guys should be prosecuted for misconduct. Also, whatever happened\u2063 to Crooked Joe\u2019s documents? Where are the ones he sent and stored in Chinatown? Is Deranged \u200bJack going to indict him for this and, at the same time,\u200c receiving bribes from China?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Trump made a number \u200cof\u2063 promises\u200c in his Make America Great\u200d Again rally \u2062speech in Erie, \u2063Pennsylvania, which aired live on Saturday night. He spoke on the primary challenges \u2062for Republicans \u2063who refuse to hold Biden operatives, Democrats, and \u2062anti-Trump forces accountable.<\/p>\n<p>He also expressed a desire to facilitate an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-ignores-calls-for-a-special-counsel-investigation-of-hunter-biden\/\" title=\"White House Ignores Calls for a Special Counsel Investigation of Hunter Biden\">independent special counsel<\/a> \u2062that could investigate \u200dall of the allegations of\u200d wrongdoing by the \u201cBiden \u2064crime family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In contrast to the Trump \u200cadministration, which appointed special\u200b counsel Robert Mueller to investigate Democrats\u2019 false allegations of \u2062Russian election \u2062meddling on behalf of the Trump campaign, Biden has refused to \u200dappoint \u200ca special counsel to investigate Republicans\u2019 allegations of a global Biden\u2064 bribery and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jonathan-emord-doj-scrambles-to-find-non-existent-evidence-of-intent\/\" title=\"Jonathan Emord: DOJ Scrambles to Find Non-Existent Evidence of \u201cIntent\u201d\">influence peddling scheme<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>House Republicans, led \u2063by Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), are now considering wielding the levers of power under an impeachment inquiry against Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland,\u200b and Department of Homeland Security Secretary\u200d Alejandro Mayorkas.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, Trump\u200b is\u200b the only\u2062 president in American history to have been \u200cimpeached twice\u2063 by \u2062a Democrat-led House, and both times the allegations were originally based\u200c on efforts to investigate\u2063 alleged Biden and Democrat schemes.
