Version: 4.0.47--><h2>The Warning Democrats Should Heed: &#8220;It&#8217;s the Economy, \u2062Stupid&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p>The presidential election is more than a year away still, but Democrats and the\u2064 team around President \u200cJoe \u200cBiden should be focused on a warning delivered by\u2063 one of their \u200down more than three decades ago.<\/p>\n<p>Democratic strategist James Caville made a mantra of the words <a href=\"https:\/\/politicaldictionary.com\/words\/its-the-economy-stupid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cIt\u2019s the economy, stupid,\u201d<\/a> while masterminding\u2063 Bill Clinton\u2019s campaign for the presidency \u2064back in 1992.<\/p>\n<p>The current president\u2019s \u201cBidenomics\u201d are\u2064 proving to be nothing but a disaster for ordinary Americans \u2014 and \u2064a new CBS News poll proves\u200c how devastating that\u2019s turning \u200dout.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/economy-opinion-poll-2023-07-30\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS<\/a> reported Sunday that its\u2062 poll shows Biden with an overall approval rating of 40 percent \u2014 the lowest\u200c of his\u2062 presidency for CBS (though some polls have put him slightly lower\u2062 at some \u2062points).\u200d When it \u2062comes to the economy alone, Biden scored an even more dismal approval rating of 34 percent, \u2062matching the lowest point recorded\u2063 in June\u200b of\u200d last year.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">CBS\u2062 POLL: President Biden\u2019s approval rating hits an all-time low<\/p>\n<p>Approve 40%<br \/>\nDisapprove 60%<\/p>\n<p>The Economy<br \/>\nApprove 34%<br \/>\nDisapprove 64%<\/p>\n<p>CBS\/YouGov\u2063 (B+) | n=2,181 | 07\/26-28<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/c7cssfXrja\">https:\/\/t.co\/c7cssfXrja<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Byoy1U1a2I\">pic.twitter.com\/Byoy1U1a2I<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 InteractivePolls (@IAPolls2022) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IAPolls2022\/status\/1685651952615530496?\">July 30, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>For Americans with eyes, it\u2019s not \u200dhard to see \u2063why.<\/p>\n<p>With inflation still keeping sticker shock a regular part of the trip to the \u2064grocery \u200cstore for most Americans, and gas prices still obscenely high, even Americans\u2062 willing to overlook the serial, self-inflicted catastrophes of\u2063 the Biden era are confronted with daily reminders that the\u2063 wrong\u200d man is in the \u200cWhite House \u2014 and the wrong party is in power.<\/p>\n<p>Rabid partisans, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/blue-state-blues-the-week-canada-liberated-the-united-states\/\" title=\"Blue State Blues: The Week Canada Liberated the United States\">knee-jerk liberals<\/a> and the establishment media might be able to \u200dclose their eyes to the ongoing, ever-more-serious revelations about corruption in the first family.<\/p>\n<p>They might be able to explain \u200baway\u2062 the invasion of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-refuses-secure-border-texas-governor-makes-move-amid-declaration-public-enemy-number-one\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">illegal immigration<\/a> overrunning \u200dthe southern border, the \u2062international disgrace of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bidens-afghanistan-failure-finally-comes-full-circle-history-will-remember-moment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Afghanistan withdrawal<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-admin-official-slammed-china-never-ever-ever\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kowtowing to China<\/a>, the ostensibly Catholic president\u2019s \u2063fervent support for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-admin-unveils-plans-send-pregnant-minors-abortion-clinics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/majority-of-states-taking-on-house-democrats-equality-act\/\" title=\"Majority of states taking on House Democrats\u2019 Equality Act\">taxpayer-funded abortions<\/a><\/a> and his party\u2019s insane pretenses about the supposedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/transgender-wh-pride-event-shows-far-society-fallen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">changeable nature<\/a> of innate sex.<\/p>\n<p>But Americans who \u2062pay for their own meals understand that \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jpmorgan-ceo-dem-donor-jamie-dimon-slams-biden-now-bidenomics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bidenomics<\/a>\u201d have been no gift to the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not just whether one \u200bhas a job, but what your wages can buy you. Most of those working \u2062say \u2064their pay is\u2062 not keeping pace with rising\u200b prices,\u201d CBS noted. \u201cAnd even if the rate of inflation is\u200d slowing, those price hikes have clearly \u200bleft their mark.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPrices are the No. 1 reason people give when asked why they call \u200cthe economy bad\u2063 and \u2064the top reason \u200dgiven when they describe their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/65-of-americans-say-economy-is-poor-only-30-expect-improvement\/\" title=\"65% of Americans Say Economy Is Poor, Only 30% Expect Improvement\">personal financial situation<\/a> as bad.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, well, \u201cprices\u201d have a way of doing that \u2014 concentrating the mind on exactly how much is in the wallet or purse.<\/p>\n<p>And Americans told the CBS survey they\u2019re not happy with how things are going: Of 2,181 polled, according to CBS, 35 \u2062percent said \u200bthey were falling financially behind, 52 percent said they were staying\u2062 in place, while only 13 percent said they were \u201cgetting ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>(It\u2019s a good bet that 13 percent \u2064is in the \u201cdiversity, equity and inclusion\u201d racket \u2063or some other lefty grift of the\u200c moment.)<\/p>\n<p>Sixty-five percent rated the economy as \u201cbad,\u201d\u200b versus only 29 percent who called it \u201cgood.\u201d And\u200c 70 percent \u2064said their work income wasn\u2019t keeping up with inflation as opposed to 30 percent who said it was.<\/p>\n<p>None of this bodes well for Biden or his re-election hopes.<\/p>\n<p>At the same point in his presidency \u2014 \u2064before the\u200d COVID-19 pandemic \u2014 former President Donald\u200b Trump was watching an economy that was\u200c booming on his \u2064pro-growth \u2064policies.<\/p>\n<p>In the summer of 2019, the inflation \u200drate was 2.3 percent, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/opub\/ted\/2020\/consumer-price-index-2019-in-review.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bureau of Labor Statistics<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/charts\/employment-situation\/civilian-unemployment-rate.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unemployment was low<\/a> (including among \u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/black-unemployment-rate-smashes-record-time-low\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blacks and Hispanics<\/a>), and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrotrends.net\/1319\/dow-jones-100-year-historical-chart\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stock\u200c market\u200d was rising<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Times were good and everyone knew it, even if the caterwauling Democrats \u2062in Washington and their propaganda \u2064outlets in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-the-media-reacted-to-biden-falling-versus-trump-not-falling\/\" title=\"Media's Response to Biden's Fall vs. Trump's No Fall\">mainstream media pretended<\/a> otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>By contrast, in June of this year, \u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/07\/12\/economy\/cpi-inflation-june\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN reported<\/a>, the U.S. inflation rate\u200b was 3 percent, which might not sound like much\u200d higher than 2019\u2019s 2.3\u2063 percent, but it came after numbers like\u2062 the\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/07\/12\/economy\/cpi-inflation-june\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>9 percent inflation<\/em><\/a>  of June 2022.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, prices are rising on\u2063 prices that were already risen in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>Americans might not be\u2063 great in math as a rule, \u200dbut they can \u200crun numbers when it matters. And when it comes to the amount of \u2064food a\u200c family can buy, putting gas in a car and\u200c paying bills, \u2064it matters a great deal.<\/p>\n<p>What should \u200dreally alarm Biden and his Democratic handlers is the fact that he\u2019s \u200dscoring 40 percent (and even that\u2019s probably too high) \u2064when\u2063 he has the combined power of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-gets-brutal-wake-up-call-as-americans-give-him-lowest-approval-rating-yet-in-poll\/\" title=\"Biden's Approval Rating Hits All-Time Low in Recent Poll.\">hideously\u200c biased \u2062mainstream\u2063 media cheering<\/a> him \u200don, ignoring negative stories or putting the best possible spin on\u200d them.<\/p>\n<p>That means Americans are seeing\u200c through the propaganda \u2014 and it should\u200c be a wake-up call to the Biden White House and the Democrats who\u2019ve \u2062pinned their hopes on its success next year.<\/p>\n<p>No matter who the Republican nominee is \u2014 whether it\u2019s current front-runner Trump or one of his competitors \u2014 Americans are going to have a clear comparison to make \u200dwhen they\u200b go to the polls in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to the phrase, \u201cit\u2019s the economy,\u2063 stupid,\u201d they\u2019ll have\u200b to ask if the country an afford \u2063another four years of a corrupted, ideologically insane administration. The answer\u2062 is, literally, no.<\/p>\n<p>The country can\u2019t afford it.
