Sherrod\u2064 Brown&#8217;s 2024 Reelection Bid \u200cGets Underway<\/h3>\n<p>What that \u2063number doesn&#8217;t surpass, however, is\u2064 the $69.5 million that the \u200dcampaign and \u200cPAC have raised together since launching the campaign in the final quarter of last year, according to FEC filings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrump has\u200d spent over $60 million this year on two things: falsely attacking Ron \u2064DeSantis and paying his own legal \u2063fees, not a cent on defeating Joe Biden,&#8221; DeSantis campaign spokesman Andrew Romeo said in a statement. &#8220;Governor DeSantis\u2019 sole focus, by contrast, has been campaigning for this country\u2019s future, defeating\u200b Biden, and reversing the decline of America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ron DeSantis and his campaign are disgustingly siding with Liz Cheney, \u2062Adam Schiff, and the January 6th\u200b Unselect Committee. They would \u2063rather defend Crooked Joe Biden and his weaponized Department \u2062of Justice than the innocent people who are\u200b being targeted by these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/desantis-campaign-slams-trump-for-allegedly-spending-over-40-million-on-legal-fees\/\" title=\"DeSantis campaign criticizes Trump's M legal fee expenditure.\">political\u200c witch-hunts<\/a>,&#8221; said Steven Cheung, a spokesman for Trump&#8217;s campaign. &#8220;Only desperate idiots and un-American morons would take the position\u2064 the DeSantis team has taken.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Federal\u200b law prohibits \u2062presidential campaigns from \u200ccommunicating\u2062 with super PACs, nor can such\u200b entities fundraise together. The Trump campaign \u2062and\u2064 Save America PAC handle all financial matters separately, but the latter has funneled donations toward paying down the\u200b former president&#8217;s exorbitant legal costs. Since launching in November of 2020\u2064 after his election \u2062loss through the \u200bsecond quarter of\u200c this year, Save\u2063 America has spent \u200c$56 million on legal costs, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>Trump faces 40 counts in the Justice Department&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doj-asks-supreme-court-to-reject-trump-request-in-fbi-classified-documents-case\/\" title=\"DOJ Asks Supreme Court to Reject Trump Request in FBI Classified Documents Case\">classified documents case<\/a> against him, which special counsel Jack Smith \u200dsaid in May \u2062were\u200b related to \u2064&#8221;felony violations of our \u200bnational \u2064security laws as well as participating in\u2064 a conspiracy to obstruct justice.\u201d Smith is separately investigating the former president over his handling of his 2020 election loss, and is\u2064 reported to \u200bbe considering charges in that case.<\/p>\n<p>Manhattan\u200b District Attorney Alvin\u2064 Bragg indicted \u2062Trump in late March on charges related to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/supreme-court-rejects-trump-bid-to-shield-financial-records\/\" title=\"Supreme Court Rejects Trump Bid To Shield Financial Records\">hush money payments<\/a>\u2062 to porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election. He has\u2062 pleaded not guilty and a trial has been scheduled for March of next year.<\/p>\n<p>Trump also \u200cfaces legal exposure from an unrelated\u2062 criminal investigation\u2064 by Atlanta prosecutors. The Fulton County\u200b District Attorney&#8217;s Office is examining the former president&#8217;s\u200c attempts to overturn the 2020 \u2062election and his subsequent role in the Capitol riot. Charges in \u2064that case are\u2062 expected later this year.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has denied any wrongdoing in the hush\u2062 money and documents\u2064 matters and vowed to \u200dfight both sets of charges. He\u200d has also maintained his innocence in the state and federal\u200c investigations \u2062of his handling of his 2020 \u2064election loss.<\/p>\n<p>On the civil \u200dside, Trump\u200d is fighting author E.
