Ron DeSantis and Disney are \u2064locked in a heated feud, and a state judge has just delivered a blow to the entertainment giant. This district provides public services, has its own first \u2063responders, and can even impose additional taxes.<\/p>\n<p>However, in 2022, Disney executives clashed with Florida Republicans over the Parental \u200cRights in Education Act, which\u2063 prohibits schools from discussing\u2064 gender identity and sexual orientation in younger grade levels. In response, \u2064the Republicans threatened to revoke Disney&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/what-would-happen-if-florida-revoked-disneys-special-governing-arrangement\/\" title=\"What Would Happen If Florida Revoked Disney\u2019s Special Governing Arrangement?\">special tax breaks<\/a> and self-governing status. The case also involves Meredith Ivey, the former acting secretary of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis has asked a federal judge to dismiss the lawsuit, claiming \u2064legislative \u200bimmunity.
