Byron\u200d Donalds (R-FL), who has <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/3937616-rep-byron-donalds-endorses-trump-in-2024-election\/#:~:text=Byron%20Donalds%20(R%2DFla.,of%20the%20congressman's%20home%2Dstate.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">endorsed<\/a> former \u2063President Donald Trump in his 2024 campaign; Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), who is running for president; Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX), who also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texastribune.org\/2023\/01\/11\/donald-trump-texas-endorsements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">endorsed<\/a> Trump; and Rep. John James (R-MI), likewise a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/john-james-michigan-endorse-trump-not-fit-lead-terminate-constitution-2023-7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump supporter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Donalds was the first to parrot Harris\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-exclusive-evidence-china-was-colluding-with-the-bidens-and-providing-information-on-how-to-defeat-president-trump-in-the-2020-election\/\" title=\"BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Evidence China Was Colluding with the Bidens and Providing Information on How to Defeat President Trump in the 2020 Election\">talking points<\/a>, writing on Twitter on Wednesday: \u201cThe\u200c new African-American standards in FL are good, robust, &#038; accurate. That being said, the\u200d attempt to feature the personal benefits of slavery is wrong &#038; needs to be adjusted. That obviously wasn\u2019t the goal &#038; I have faith that FLDOE will correct this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Manny Diaz Jr., Florida\u2019s Commissioner of Education, responded directly to Donalds: \u201cThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ariz-gov-ducey-urges-biden-admin-to-declare-crisis-at-southern-border\/\" title=\"Ariz. Gov. Ducey urges Biden admin. to declare crisis at southern border\">federal government won\u2019<\/a>t dictate Florida\u2019s\u200b education standards. This\u2064 new curriculum is based on truth. It was just devastating. So I would hope that every \u200cperson \u2063in our country \u2014 and certainly running for president \u2014 would appreciate that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis also responded directly to\u2062 Scott: \u201cPart of\u200d the reason our country has struggled\u2063 is because D.C. Republicans all too often accept false narratives, accept lies that are perpetrated by the Left. And to accept the lie that Kamala Harris has been perpetrating even when that has been debunked, that\u2019s not the way you do it. The \u200cway you lead\u2063 is to fight back against the lies, is to speak the truth. If Ron DeSantis spent more time doing the job the people of Florida\u2064 elected him to do and less time on his \u200cfailing Presidential\u2064 campaign, perhaps Florida\u2019s \u200dcurriculum on slavery would more accurately reflect the pain and heartbreak experienced by millions\u2062 who suffered through the original sin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As was the case with the comments from Donalds and Scott, there was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/psaki-blasted-for-deflecting-blame-for-crime-wave-by-claiming-gop-defunded-the-police\/\" title=\"Psaki Blasted For Deflecting Blame For Crime Wave By Claiming GOP Defunded The Police\">significant pushback online<\/a> to Hunt\u2019s remarks, including from Matt Rinaldi, who is the Chairman \u2062of the Texas Republican Party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a false \u200dstatement, either uninformed \u200dor blatantly dishonest, and only helps the left,\u201d Rinaldi said.\u200b \u201cIt\u2019s\u2063 possible \u2062to make a case for your preferred GOP primary candidate without sacrificing your credibility or repeating absurd race\u2062 baiting Kamala Harris talking points.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This is a false statement, either uninformed or blatantly dishonest, and only \u2064helps \u200cthe left. James then appeared to take Hunt\u2019s remarks about\u200d \u201cnet \u2064benefit\u201d and put them in quotation marks, in \u200can apparent attempt to either attribute the words to DeSantis\u200c or \u2064to\u200c the curriculum, even though DeSantis did not say those words and \u2063they do not appear in the curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c#1: slavery was not CTE! Nothing about that 400 years of evil was a \u2018net benefit\u2019 to my ancestors,\u201d James wrote on Twitter. \u201c#2: there are only five black Republicans in Congress and\u200d you\u2019re attacking two of them. My brother in Christ\u2026 \ud83e\udd26\ud83c\udffe\u200d\u2642\ufe0f if you find yourself\u200d in a deep hole put the shovel down. So I took some time to review Florida\u2019s.
