Even in\u200c cases where the shooter goes \u2063to trial, \u2063the writings of the shooter are often considered evidence.<\/p>\n<p>However, \u200da \u2062group\u2062 of parents and school officials have sought to keep the manifesto of the 28-year-old woman, who \u2062killed three children \u200band three adults at The Covenant School in March, from being\u2063 made public. Fisher argued that laws protecting \u2063Tennessee victims do not grant\u200b them complete authority over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/blocking-release-of-nashville-school-shooter-manifesto-would-introduce-new-equation-into-tennessee-law-expert-says\/\" title=\"Expert: Blocking Nashville School Shooter Manifesto Release Would Alter Tennessee Law\">open record laws<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Privacy\u200d Rights vs. Crime Records<\/h3>\n<p>Fisher clarified, &#8220;I don\u2019t think that in that situation, \u200cthe victims could\u2063 veto those being submitted in a public trial, and\u200c I don\u2019t\u2063 think that they\u200c can \u200bveto them being released as \u200ccrime evidence in a case that \u200ddoesn\u2019t go to trial because the person is dead.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While victims do have privacy rights established in \u2063Tennessee law, Fisher \u200bemphasized that granting them veto \u200dpower\u200c over crime \u200brecords would be a new development.<\/p>\n<p>Several news outlets, including The\u200c Daily Wire, have requested copies of the manifesto through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nbc-news-reporter-suggests-open-records-laws-are-being-abused-to-expose-crt-in-schools\/\" title=\"NBC News Reporter Suggests Open Records Laws Are Being Abused To Expose CRT In Schools\">open records laws<\/a>\u2064 but \u200dhave been denied thus far.
