The <em>New York Times<\/em> earlier this month \u200dpublished a profile of Roberts and Navy, who was <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/the-cruelty-is-the-point-biden-orders-wh-staff-to-deny-granddaughters-existence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">determined<\/a> to be Hunter Biden\u2019s biological daughter following a lengthy battle in an Arkansas court. Days later, <em>Times<\/em> columnist Maureen\u200d Dowd took Biden to task in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/07\/08\/opinion\/hunter-biden-child.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scathing column<\/a> titled &#8220;It\u2019s Seven Grandkids, Mr. President.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mounting liberal backlash may have turned the tide for Biden, who throughout his presidency has pointedly omitted Navy from frequent <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/watch-joe-biden-proudly-lists-all-his-grandkids-except-hunter-bidens-love-child\/\">statements<\/a> about his grandchildren. White House staffers and Biden aides had been repeatedly instructed to deny the\u200d existence of the president\u2019s youngest grandchild, the <em>Times<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden has fought to keep his youngest\u2063 daughter out of his life, repeatedly rebuffing \u200dRoberts\u2019 requests to\u2064 let Navy use Biden\u2019s\u200b last name, and claiming he \u2063was too poor to afford child support <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/in-court-hunter-biden-cries-poor-in-fight-to-reduce-child-support-payments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">payments<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Roberts and Hunter Biden in June\u2063 reached an \u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/hunter-biden-settlement\/\">agreement<\/a> that would\u2062 reduce the troubled first son\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-cashes-in-with-book-deal-as-career-prospects-dwindle-child-support-payments-mount\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Cashes In with Book Deal as Career Prospects Dwindle, Child Support Payments Mount\">monthly child support payments<\/a> from $20,000 to just $5,000.
