In the aftermath of the blaze, a truly disturbing narrative is being pieced together.<\/p>\n<p>Initial reports covered it as\u200c a roadside wildfire. As seen in the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/mRBReLwhL-A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KCPQ-TV<\/a> broadcast of the event below, the most pressing issue at the time appeared\u2063 to be the \u2063minor traffic delay caused by rubbernecking.<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\">\n<\/div>\n<h3>A Shocking \u2064Video Emerges<\/h3>\n<p>Citizens\u2019 video of the fire soon emerged, showing an explosion and subsequent pillar of flames \u2064rising above nearby \u2063buildings. According to the witness, everyone panicked and fled when told about the \u2062devices.<\/p>\n<p>Shooting immediately erupted. \u200cGunshots and\u200c muzzle flashes drove the chaos from\u2062 a nearby stand \u200cof vegetation. \u200dExplosions \u2062and fire followed shortly after.<\/p>\n<p>One witness later \u200btold \u2062police that the camp\u2019s previous leader was known \u2063to make the types\u2064 of incendiary\u2064 devices spotted at \u2063the scene. Police\u2062 were also \u2062informed of an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-reduces-support-for-s-arabia-in-another-boon-to-iran\/\" title=\"Biden reduces support for S. Arabia in another boon to Iran\">ongoing conflict<\/a> around the \u200ctheft of $80,000 in \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/chair-of-psychology-department-at-columbia-pens-book-about-taking-heroin-ecstasy-meth-bath-salts\/\" title=\"Chair Of Psychology Department At Columbia Pens Book About Taking Heroin, Ecstasy, Meth, Bath Salts\">hard drugs<\/a> and a violent \u2062murder.<\/p>\n<h3>A Troubling Pattern<\/h3>\n<p>Just days after the\u200b fire, tents began to\u200d repopulate the area. <a href=\"https:\/\/komonews.com\/news\/local\/seattle-homeless-crisis-downtown-encampment-i5-harborview-cleared-multiple-explosive-devices-used-bombing-fentanyl-tent-drug-trafficking-crime-wsdot-property-king-county-washington-state#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KOMO<\/a> reported the phoenix-like encampment,\u200d literally being built on the ashes of the previous one, is now being removed by the city.<\/p>\n<p>The saga is not as unique in the Emerald \u200dCity as one might think.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Seattle \u200demergency crews responded to 1,538 encampment fires, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/keprtv.com\/news\/local\/seattle-firefighters-responded-to-1500-fires-at-homeless-encampments-in-2022-fire-departement-washington-mayor-bruce-harrell-union\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KEPR-TV<\/a>. It\u2019s unknown how many fires went unreported \u2062or unvisited.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier\u200b this\u2064 year, one fire revealed a stash \u2064of \u2062cash, firearms and multiple hard drugs among the \u2063ashes.<\/p>\n<p>According to \u2063the <a href=\"https:\/\/spdblotter.seattle.gov\/2023\/02\/10\/encampment-fire-unveils-several-guns-bundles-of-cash-and-narcotics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Seattle Police Department blotter<\/a>, investigators found fentanyl, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, \u2063handguns and around $7,000 in cash at the scene of a February encampment fire.<\/p>\n<h3>A Call for Action<\/h3>\n<p>While the February fire was thought to be caused\u2063 by\u2063 a meth lab failure, both it and the most recent one highlight\u200b the chaos Seattle\u2019s homeless crisis has caused the city.
