Gen.\u200b Anthony \u2063Potts, a highly respected Army acquisitions officer and aviator, was the \u2064sole occupant \u2063of\u2063 the \u200csingle-engine <span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">Piper \u200bPA-28<\/span> aircraft when it went down in a field, as \u2063reported by the\u200d Harford County Sheriff\u2019s Office and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/us-general-killed-near-aberdeen-proving-ground-first-responders-rush-field\/\" title=\"US General slain near Aberdeen Proving Ground - First responders race to scene.\">local media \u2063outlets<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the efforts of \u200cfirst responders, Potts\u2062 tragically passed away at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Potts,\u2063 who had dedicated nearly \u200dfour decades of service to the Army and most recently \u200bled the Army\u2019s \u200dProgram Executive \u200bOffice Command, Control\u200b and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T), \u200dhad plans to \u2064retire in the near \u2064future.<\/p>\n<p>The National Transportation Security Bureau is \u200ccurrently \u200cinvestigating the crash, as stated\u200d in a tweet.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">NTSB investigating the crash of a \u2064Piper\u2064 PA-28 airplane near \u200bHavre De \u200cGrace, Maryland.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NTSB Newsroom (@NTSB_Newsroom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NTSB_Newsroom\/status\/1684008429059186688?\">July \u206226, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the Level Volunteer Fire Company, dozens of first responders swiftly arrived at the field in Havre de Grace, Maryland, where the \u200ccrash occurred. Fortunately, no one else was injured.<\/p>\n<p>Potts&#8217; impressive career included overseeing the development,\u2063 deployment,\u200c and maintenance of all battlefield communications gear. He also previously led PEO\u200b Soldier, a program \u2063focused on conventional equipment such as uniforms,\u200d body armor, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/u-s-army-exploring-new-tech-to-keep-troops-charged-on-the-go\/\" title=\"U.S. Army Exploring New Tech to Keep Troops Charged on the Go\">night-vision devices<\/a>, and firearms.<\/p>\n<p>Both of these roles were crucial\u200b in safeguarding U.S. troops and advancing Army tactics, as highlighted by Defense News.<\/p>\n<p>Maj. Gen.
