Mike Braun (R-IN)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Braun \u200ccalled\u2064 for\u2062 more\u2062 fiscal sanity in\u200d the government, including by introducing amendments to \u200cthe bill that would request government audits.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s \u2063the most important thing we do here \u2062in\u200c the federal government, but we don\u2019t do \u2064any\u2062 budgets \u200dover there. We don\u2019t\u200b do \u200cany audits,\u201d Braun\u200d said in \u2064a video posted to X, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/roger-stone-announces-he-will-sue-those-who-arrested-him-and-put-him-in-front-of-a-kangaroo-court\/\" title=\"Roger Stone Announces He Will Sue Those Who Arrested Him and Put Him In Front of a Kangaroo Court\">social media site<\/a> formerly known as\u200c Twitter. \u201cIt\u2019s \u2064all part of the problem of why \u2062we spend too\u200b much\u2063 money and then borrow it \u200dfrom future generations.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The senator did not give a reason for voting down the bill.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sen.\u200c Mike Lee (R-UT)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Lee introduced\u2064 an \u200damendment to the bill that centered on\u2064 legal \u2064protections \u200cfor U.S.\u200d forces overseas by requiring the\u2062 secretary of state and the secretary of defense \u2062to review the bilateral Status of Forces Agreements \u200cthat \u200dthe top 10 countries with the largest U.S. presence have\u2063 with the country. \u2063The amendment\u2063 was approved by the\u200b Senate on \u200bThursday.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;We have an obligation to ensure our brave men and women in uniform are afforded basic legal\u200c protections,&#8221; Lee said in a statement. &#8220;This amendment is our \u200dcommitment to guaranteeing that their legal treatment is fair\u200b and just, consistent with \u2064the rights\u200c they would have\u200d under U.S. \u2062law. Congress should not allow anything less.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Paul has been critical of the \u200bBiden administration&#8217;s military aid\u2064 to Ukraine while the country is at war with Russia. The senator introduced an act on Wednesday, \u200bseeking oversight \u2064on Ukraine.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cA little over a year ago, I proposed an amendment to the \u2063massive $40 billion\u2063 Ukraine spending package\u2062 that would have entrusted \u200ca proven and effective \u2064Inspector General to oversee and track\u2063 how funds are spent \u200bin Ukraine. My amendment \u2064was rejected,\u2064 and today, over $113 billion in taxpayer dollars\u2063 has been sent\u2064 to\u200b Ukraine without proper \u200doversight,\u201d Paul said in a statement\u2064 Thursday. \u201cMy \u200cUkraine Aid Oversight \u200damendment would have extended SIGAR\u2019s oversight authority to include aid to Ukraine\u2063 and\u2064 provide taxpayers with an accurate accounting\u2063 of how their money is \u2063spent, as \u200dwell as to detect\u2062 and prevent waste and \u200bfraud.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Vance also \u200drejected the NDAA bill on\u2064 Thursday \u2062due to \u200dits\u200c promise to continue providing \u2064military\u2062 support to Ukraine for years.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve worked in good\u200d faith throughout this \u2064process to secure as many wins for Ohio\u200b as possible, and I\u2019m proud \u200bthat many of \u2064those priorities have been included in \u2062the final version of\u200d the NDAA,\u201d Vance said\u2063 in a\u2064 statement Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, I cannot\u2063 in\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-tuck-female-draft-into-defense-bill\/\" title=\"Democrats Tuck Female Draft Into Defense Bill\">good conscience support<\/a> the broader\u2063 package, which \u200dcommits\u2063 the United States to years of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pics-cities-across-ukraine-rocked-by-missile-strikes-shelling\/\" title=\"PICS: Cities Across Ukraine Rocked by Missile Strikes, Shelling\">additional military aid<\/a> for the war in \u2064Ukraine,\u201d \u2064the senator said. \u201cIt\u2019s disappointing to me that these significant priorities that would benefit Ohioans have been bogged \u200ddown with such <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senate-ndaa-here-are-the-four-republican-senators-who-opposed-defense-bill\/\" title=\"Four GOP Senators Opposed Senate NDAA\">deeply problematic foreign policy proposals<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\">CLICK HERE\u2063 TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON \u2062EXAMINER<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Six Democrats also opposed the \u200clegislation, including Sens.
