This has resulted in three new charges \u2064being brought against him, bringing the total to 40. Additionally, Carlos De Oliveira, a property manager\u2064 at Mar-a-Lago, has\u200b also been \u2062indicted in connection with these charges.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In a superseding indictment filed on Thursday, one \u2064specific attempt to \u200bdestroy evidence was \u200bnot \u200dmentioned. However, CNN reported that in October 2022, an employee at Mar-a-Lago drained the resort&#8217;s swimming\u2063 pool, causing the \u200broom where the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/donald-trump-indictment-one-apparent-scheme-to-destroy-evidence-jack-smith-hasnt-talked-about-in-court\/\" title=\"Donald Trump indicted for undisclosed evidence destruction scheme not mentioned in court by Jack Smith.\">security camera footage\u200d servers<\/a> were located to flood. It remains unclear whether the flooding was intentional or accidental, but prosecutors have been questioning witnesses about the incident.<\/p>\n<p>While the pool incident is \u200bnot explicitly referenced in the indictment, the CNN report suggests that prosecutors are actively investigating the alleged flooding. \u2062The report also states that \u200dthe equipment in the room was not damaged during the flood.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>De Oliveira&#8217;s Alleged Involvement<\/h3>\n<p>According to the\u200d indictment, \u2063De Oliveira allegedly \u200dinformed an employee that &#8220;the boss&#8221; \u2063wanted the security footage to be destroyed. As a result, De Oliveira\u200d has been charged \u2062with conspiracy to obstruct justice, altering, destroying, mutilating, or concealing an object, corruptly altering, destroying, mutilating, or concealing a document, record, or other\u2062 object, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sidney-powell-is-an-american-legal-giant\/\" title=\"Sidney Powell Is an American Legal Giant\">making false statements<\/a> and representations.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>These new charges\u2064 against Trump come at a time when he is widely expected\u2064 to face indictment by a grand jury in Washington, D.C., for his alleged attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and his involvement \u2062in the Capitol\u200b riot on January 6, 2021.
