But the official line is \u2064that the temperatures are unprecedented and the result of \u2014 you guessed it \u2014 \u2063climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Like clockwork, the Biden White House uses summer to \u200dtrot out alarmist\u2062 claims about \u201cextreme heat waves\u201d and\u2064 the\u2064 \u201cclimate\u200c crisis\u201d to justify spending billions on pet projects.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Facts, of course, don\u2019t\u200b matter. As meteorology \u200dstudent Chris Martz points out, the\u200b first \u206453 of 92 days \u2063of summer in the Lower 48 have \u200dbeen a little \u2064cooler than average so\u2062 far. Heat domes and the jet stream tend to do that. It\u2019s called \u201cweather.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Meanwhile, water vapor, \u2064which accounts \u200bfor 97\u200b percent of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere, got a massive 13 \u2064percent boost in our stratosphere by the January 2022 eruption of \u2064Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha\u2019apai, a submarine volcano in the southern Pacific \u2014 with the\u200b natural greenhouse gas likely to stay aloft for several years. Meanwhile, our nearest star is waking up with Solar Cycle 25, and the Pacific Ocean shifted from La Ni\u00f1a to El\u200c Ni\u00f1o in June.<\/p>\n<p>In California, the\u200d leftmost pole in the\u2063 dipole \u2062climate\u2063 alarmism system (D.C. \u2062being the other), cries of drought blamed\u2063 on human \u200baction drown out\u200c the inconvenient fact of a lack\u200d of \u2063water storage due to human inaction. Oddly, the state is out \u2062of its drought\u200b now, \u200dtemporarily \u200bdepriving\u2062 insincere actors like Democratic\u200b Gov. Gavin Newsom of\u200c a\u2063 major\u200d talking\u200d point.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>But California is a land of both historic drought and a\u2063 Mediterranean climate.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In 850 AD, 1,052 years before Willis Haviland Carrier\u200d invented the modern air\u2062 conditioner, California\u200c was hit with a megadrought that lasted 240 years. \u2062Only\u2062 50 years later, a second drought struck that stretched \u200danother \u200d180 years. Goodness knows what the climate crisis-industrial complex would say today if California were in the middle\u2062 of a 10-year dry spell.<\/p>\n<p>The Mediterranean aspect of California\u2019s weather patterns is \u200bpoorly \u200bappreciated \u200bby most of the \u2064rest of \u200cthe nation \u2014 and even among Californians. The practical effect is two-fold: \u200dFirst, it\u2062 makes for \u2063a dry, pleasant climate for seven months out of\u2062 the year, with 75 percent of precipitation falling in the five months between November and March. And come the end of summer, no matter how much snow and rain fell the prior winter, it\u2064 gets tinder dry, setting the stage for fire season.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, even though California\u2062 enjoyed a \u200cheavy winter,\u2062 with much of the key Sierra snowpack at 200 percent of normal, the\u200d inevitable dry months will prime Democrat news releases for linking\u2064 wildfires to \u2063greenhouse emissions by August.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The problem\u200c with connecting California\u2019s wildfires to climate change is that it\u2019s just another fable that serves to cover up the real culprit: terrible forest management practices by both state and federal officials.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>When \u2062gold was discovered in California in 1848, the rush to the West brought photographers. George\u200b E.\u200b Gruell, a wildlife \u2064biologist, developed\u2064 the idea to compare photos taken in the Sierra Nevada forest then with contemporary\u200c views today. What he found was remarkable. In the 1850s, fire routinely shaped California\u2019s landscape.\u2062 Native American\u2064 tribes often purposefully set\u2062 fires \u2063because they knew that forests were a poor source of food compared to grassland. Most of the indigenous \u200bresidents of California at the time were\u2063 nomadic. If fire threatened them, then\u200d they could move.<\/p>\n<p>This was not so for the\u200c new pioneers who \u200dtended to build permanent, if mostly flammable, structures. \u200cBurning \u2064the \u2062forests shifted quickly to \u200dharvesting the\u2063 trees and suppressing the \u200dfires. \u2063By the 1990s, environmental policies curtailed the harvesting aspect but left in place \u2064the fire suppression efforts.<\/p>\n<p>But, in an average year, California forests grow about 3.8\u200b billion board feet of new timber \u2014 more when the winter\u2019s wet. And if\u2064 that timber doesn\u2019t get cut and used, it must,\u200b in time, burn. It\u2019s the tyranny of photosynthetic math: Water plus carbon\u2064 dioxide equals megatons of flammable\u2062 cellulose.<\/p>\n<p>Forest mismanagement became so entrenched in California that its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/louisiana-republicans-fail-to-override-governors-veto-on-bill-banning-biological-males-from-womens-sports\/\" title=\"Louisiana Republicans Fail To Override Governor\u2019s Veto On Bill Banning Biological Males From Women\u2019s Sports\">state legislature voted<\/a> to study the forests\u2019 carbon \u2062sequestration capability. The resulting report said that forests\u200c protected from commercial timber harvests\u2062 were \u2064now\u2063 net greenhouse gas emitters due to fires and trees killed by insects and disease. California\u2019s forests are\u200d now up to 600 percent \u2063denser than 150 years ago, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/expect-climate-alarmism-to-heat-up-in-california-this-wildfire-season\/\" title=\"Climate alarmism will intensify in California during this wildfire season.\">high tree density increasing water stress<\/a> and making trees more vulnerable to insects, disease, and fire.<\/p>\n<p>The wildfires that will\u200d sweep California in a few months will be put to good use\u200d in service of climate \u2062alarmist propaganda. Newsom and his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-az-gubernatorial-candidate-kari-lake-wrecks-cnn-you-really-need-to-put-down-the-crackpipe\/\" title=\"WATCH: AZ Gubernatorial Candidate Kari Lake WRECKS CNN: \u201cYou Really Need To Put Down The Crackpipe\u201d\">corporate media allies<\/a> will see to that.<\/p>\n<p>But never fear. Rather \u200bthan tackling the\u200c problem, California will continue to go down\u200b the road of banning internal combustion engines \u200bwhile trying\u200c to guilt the rest of us into walking to work.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The recent weather has garnered much attention.
