The discoveries proved \u200cthat during the Shang Dynasty in ancient China, humans and animals\u2064 were often sacrificed in order to change the weather. One \u2064inscription on an oracle bone read simply, \u201cShould a \u2063man be burnt at the stakes?\u200b Will rain follow?\u201d Most of these victims, anthropologists <a href=\"https:\/\/anthropoetics.ucla.edu\/ap0102\/china\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">noted<\/a>, \u2063were slaves, prisoners of war, beggars, and cripples. The Chinese believed \u2063that by killing off these undesirables, they\u2019d cause\u2064 it to rain.<\/p>\n<p>In that sense, the ancient Chinese had a lot in \u2064common with the Aztecs, who fought wars \u200bto secure \u2062new \u200dvictims \u200cfor their human sacrifices. Those <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thoughtco.com\/tlaloc-aztec-god-rain-and-fertility-172965\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sacrifices<\/a> included the ritual killing\u2063 of children on top of\u2062 a \u200bmountain\u200b to honor Tlaloc, their god of rainfall.<\/p>\n<p>Thousands of years\u200b later, we have inventions like meteorology, and the \u2063internet. So \u200dyou might think that \u2063ritual sacrifices would have stopped. But in many parts of \u200cthe world,\u200b they\u2019ve\u200b persisted. \u2063In 2007, for example, \u200cNepal\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/indian-media-criticizes-pfizer-after-ivermectin-success\/\" title=\"Indian media criticizes Pfizer after Ivermectin success\">state-run airline<\/a> was having\u200b a \u2064lot of issues with one of their Boeing aircraft. Their solution was to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-nepal-airline-idUSDEL1551420070904\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sacrifice<\/a> two goats in front of the plane, to appease the sky god and ensure the plane \u200bhad safe \u2062passage. Executives were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/templates\/story\/story.php?storyId=14204649\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thrilled<\/a> when the \u200dplane managed\u2062 to take off and land.<\/p>\n<p>At the time,\u2062 that\u2062 story was mostly met with amusement \u200cin this country.\u200c It was unthinkable\u2062 for\u2064 anything like \u2064that to happen here, we thought. Sure, we have no room \u200bto make fun of\u200b them. They \u200bmight\u2064 have sacrificed a goat outside of \u2062the plane. But we allow \u2063people to bring goats onto the\u2063 plane as emotional support animals. As a\u200d passenger, I prefer the \u2062sacrifice strategy. \u2064At any rate, people clicked on the story from Nepal, maybe had a good chuckle,\u200c and went \u2062about our day.<\/p>\n<p>In retrospect, that was a mistake. As it turns \u2064out, we were never that far away from hearing our \u200cown \u2064politicians\u200b claim \u2063that they, too, have the power to change the\u2062 weather with their own offerings to the sky\u2064 god. Somehow, that line has officially been \u2062crossed.<\/p>\n<h3>Hillary Clinton&#8217;s Blame Game<\/h3>\n<p>A couple of days ago, Hillary Clinton posted a tweet, blaming Donald Trump\u2019s supporters for the fact \u2063that the temperature \u2062has gone \u200cup this summer.\u200c Here it is: \u201cHot enough for \u2062you? Thank a \u200dMAGA Republican. \u2062Or better yet, vote them out of office.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hot enough for\u2064 you? <\/p>\n<p>Thank a MAGA Republican. <\/p>\n<p>Or better yet, vote them \u200dout\u2063 of office. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0MFC6rPq6o\">https:\/\/t.co\/0MFC6rPq6o<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton)\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HillaryClinton\/status\/1683819246042710018?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 25, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>You might recall that \u201cMAGA Republicans\u201d is an epithet that appeared out of nowhere about a year ago, when Democratic Party consultants made it up. And already, \u2062these MAGA Republicans \u2064are affecting the \u200bweather\u200d simply by existing.<\/p>\n<p>How are they doing that? One of the articles that Hillary Clinton cites in\u200b her tweet was published in\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/maryroeloffs\/2023\/07\/05\/july-4-was-earths-hottest-day-in-over-100000-years-breaking-record-for-2nd-day-in-a-row\/?sh=6935d72f67dd\">Forbes<\/a>. The piece \u200breported:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><i>\u201cJuly 4th \u2063was Earth\u2019s Hottest Day in Over 100,000 Years\u2026\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That\u2019s quite a claim, since we\u2019ve only been able to track temperatures for the past 140 years. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/climate.nasa.gov\/faq\/21\/why-does-the-temperature-record-shown-on-your-vital-signs-page-begin-at-1880\/\">NASA<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><i>\u201cThere are too few data before 1880 for scientists to estimate average \u200dtemperatures for\u2063 the entire planet.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Even for the past 140 years, it seems \u200chighly dubious to assume\u200d that\u200c the records are accurate enough to confidently\u200c declare that\u2064 we experienced the hottest day in\u2062 a century and a \u200dhalf this month. Does \u200danyone think\u200d we actually have a precisely \u200baccurate idea \u2064of\u200b what the temperature was everywhere on the planet on, \u2062say, August 11th, 1893? How much less\u200b do we know what the\u200c global temperature was on August 11th, 1893 BC? So \u2064suffice \u200cit to say, \u2062the Forbes piece \u2062isn\u2019t particularly strong evidence to\u2062 support the idea that Trump voters are somehow making it hot during the summer.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s take stock of what\u2019s happening here. This is the kind \u2063of thing we \u200boften laugh about \u2064and \u2064then move\u2063 on from, but we should really spend some time thinking \u200dabout it. One of the most prominent Democrats in the country, a former\u2064 Secretary of\u200d State and presidential candidate, just\u200d sincerely blamed her political opponents for making it hot outside. And she did it on\u200c the basis of no evidence\u200b whatsoever \u2014 in fact, she lied \u200babout what \u200dlittle evidence \u200dshe did present.<\/p>\n<p>On some level we\u2019re used to the\u2063 climate change\u2064 hysteria, and \u2064constant\u2063 claims that\u2064 the world\u2062 is ending. But what \u200cmakes this so especially insane\u200d is\u2064 that \u200cshe\u2019s claiming \u2064that not only \u200ddoes human activity change the weather, but that\u2063 a relatively small group of humans can bring\u2064 about substantial changes in the weather in the span of just\u2063 a \u2064few \u200dyears. This isn\u2019t \u2063just \u201chuman activity has \u2063caused global temperatures to rise by 2 degrees in 150 years\u201d or whatever. This is \u201cwe\u2019re having a devastating heatwave\u200b because of what my political opponents did last Tuesday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re in full-on primitive superstition territory here. Blaming your enemies for a heat \u200dwave is the kind of thing you \u2063expect to hear from\u2063 a tribal chieftain in a loin cloth in the\u2063 Amazon somewhere. Though I think even most of them are too \u200dadvanced at this\u200c point to\u2063 believe in that sort of thing.<\/p>\n<p>But that\u2019s the level of \u201cscience\u201d that\u200b senior Democrats are now \u2064pushing. What comes next?\u200b In every other \u2062culture that\u2019s gone down this\u2063 path, ritual sacrifice is what comes next. Hillary\u2062 Clinton\u2019s already\u200d identified the problem: it\u2019s predominantly middle-class\u2062 Americans who\u2063 voted the wrong way in the last election. They \u200bheld too\u200d many cookouts. They drove \u200dtrucks that were too big. Therefore, they\u2019re making it hot \u200doutside, and they need to pay. That\u2019s what she believes. How long before \u2062Hillary suggests building a giant\u200c pyramid\u2063 and cutting the heart out of a middle-aged \u2063white \u2063guy in a red\u2062 hat in order to appease Mother Earth, or maybe just for\u200b fun?<\/p>\n<h3>Primitive \u200dSuperstitions and Modern\u200d Politics<\/h3>\n<p>What\u2019s\u200c really alarming is that it\u2019s \u2063not just\u200c Hillary Clinton who thinks this way. The rest \u2063of the party, and the media, has \u2062been building\u2064 to this\u2064 conclusion for\u200c a long time. They\u2019re not just blaming human activity for the\u200b weather \u2014 they\u2019re blaming very recent and isolated human activity for the weather.<\/p>\n<p>This kind of thinking took off sometime around 2018, when the Climate Institute <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/episode\/ep-1192-democrats-take-a-page-from-primitive-tribal-shaman-blaming-their-enemies-for-the-weather-member-exclusive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">warned<\/a> that people are\u2064 changing the\u2063 weather just by running their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/germany-prepares-for-massive-energy-crisis\/\" title=\"Germany Prepares for Massive Energy Crisis\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/police-search-underway-after-2-inmates-escape-from-ariz-prison\/\" title=\"Police search underway after 2 inmates escape from Ariz. prison\">air conditioning<\/a> units<\/a>. Their analysts determined that \u201cusing \u200band <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-take-a-page-from-primitive-tribal-shaman-blaming-their-enemies-for-the-weather\/\" title=\"Democrats Blame Enemies for Weather, Mimicking Tribal Shaman\">producing air conditioning\u2064 equipment exacerbates climate change<\/a>.\u201d They proposed that, in lieu\u2064 of using air conditioning, people wear short sleeves and \u201crely on blinds\u200d and curtains \u2062more often.\u201d\u200c Otherwise, they\u2063 said, the climate will change. And of course\u2063 the \u2064climate\u2063 did \u2064change, because\u2063 climates\u200d always change. That\u2019s what climates do.<\/p>\n<p>That same year, \u200dThe Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/episode\/ep-1192-democrats-take-a-page-from-primitive-tribal-shaman-blaming-their-enemies-for-the-weather-member-exclusive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ran an op-ed<\/a> entitled, \u2064\u201cAnother hurricane is about\u200b to \u2062batter our coast. Trump is complicit.\u201d Complicit \u200bin a hurricane. Which is like accusing someone of being complicit\u200c in a solar eclipse. So it \u2062took just a year after he came into office for The Washington Post to blame Trump for \u2063bad \u200bweather.\u200b Then, two months before the last\u200c presidential election, as wildfires spread across California, \u200dJoe Biden endorsed that position, as totally deranged as it was. Watch:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;This could well be\u2014this well could be\u2014a conservative estimate. Donald \u200bTrump\u2014\u2014&#8217;s climate denial\u2014\u2014may not have caused these fires and \u200crecord floods \u200cand record hurricanes, but if he gets a second term, these hellish events \u2063will continue \u2062to become more \u2062common\u2026 and more deadly.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/lbwR8UdUo5\">pic.twitter.com\/lbwR8UdUo5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1305584915153670144?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 14, \u200c2020<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>If Trump\u200c gets a second term,\u2062 Biden said, then, \u201cthese hellish events will continue to become more common, more\u2064 devastating and more deadly.\u201d In other words, we\u2019ll have more hurricanes and wildfires and floods, and \u2062they\u2019ll\u200c be more dangerous \u2014 if Donald Trump is in\u200c office for\u2064 four years instead of\u200d Joe \u200dBiden. That\u2019s what he\u2019s \u2064saying. That was Joe \u200bBiden \u200bin 2020. Has \u2064anyone \u200cfollowed up with him on that pledge, now that he\u2019s \u200bbeen in office for several years? Has he declared victory \u2064over bad weather?<\/p>\n<p>Of course not.\u200d He and his allies, like Hillary Clinton, are actually telling us that the weather has \u200donly gotten worse.\u200c And the only way to keep the weather from continuing to deteriorate is to keep voting for them. It\u2019s a\u2064 scam. None of it\u2019s\u200b remotely true.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the data\u200d on \u200bglobal annual\u2064 deaths \u2062from natural\u200b disasters, including wildfires, volcanoes, extreme temperatures, droughts, \u2064earthquakes, and floods. It covers the 1990s,\u2063 all the \u2062way to the 2010s. Currently, they\u2019re reporting that\u200b the fires in Canada are historic. They said the same thing about the California fires a few years ago when Joe \u2063Biden\u2064 was running for president. The truth \u200dis that wildfires used to \u2063be an order of magnitude worse than they are now Have you \u2063ever heard about the \u201cgreat Midwest wildfires of 1871?\u201d Probably not. Somehow it\u2019s never \u200cmentioned. And that\u2019s \u200cstrange\u2064 because according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/episode\/ep-1192-democrats-take-a-page-from-primitive-tribal-shaman-blaming-their-enemies-for-the-weather-member-exclusive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Weather Service<\/a>,\u2064 it was the deadliest series of\u200c wildfires in American history. The \u2064fires killed thousands of people and \u200ddestroyed millions of acres. How did that happen,\u200d more than a century before the rise of the\u2064 MAGA Republicans? That\u2019s a good question. Are\u2062 MAGA\u200d Republicans able\u2064 to control the weather\u2062 in the past too? How far does\u2063 their\u200d sorcery reach? We\u2019ll have to ask Hillary Clinton about that.<\/p>\n<p>But let\u2019s \u2062be charitable for \u200ba second. Let\u2019s assume, for\u2062 the\u2062 sake \u2062of argument, \u200dthat none of these \u200doutlets or politicians are lying. Let\u2019s pretend\u2063 we are in a climate\u200c emergency, \u200dand everyone\u2063 is about to burn up and\u2062 die. If that\u2019s the \u2063case, you\u2019d think\u200d Hillary Clinton would be tweeting nonstop about China. You\u2019d \u2063think Joe Biden\u2064 would be imposing\u2063 sanctions. China\u2019s carbon emissions are more\u200c than double \u200dAmerica\u2019s. In\u2063 fact, China emits more carbon than every\u200b developed nation on\u200d the planet, combined. Have\u200b they\u200b done anything\u2063 to curb these emissions? \u2063Well, let\u2019s see. China is building the equivalent of two large coal plants every week. This year, China\u2019s carbon emissions <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/episode\/ep-1192-democrats-take-a-page-from-primitive-tribal-shaman-blaming-their-enemies-for-the-weather-member-exclusive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">have\u2062 already \u2063set<\/a> a\u200b new \u2063record.<\/p>\n<p>But Hillary Clinton and Joe\u200b Biden don\u2019t seem \u2063concerned. \u200dInstead, they\u2019re demanding \u2064that you give\u200d up \u200cyour gas stove and vote \u200cfor them, or else.\u200d They leave China alone.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve seen this before. Remember when\u200c the Left went on a \u200dcampaign against plastic straws, warning \u2062that our plastic straws \u200dwere polluting the ocean and killing the sea turtles? Well, what \u2062they refused \u2064to mention is that many Asian countries\u200b dump\u200b their trash directly into \u200ctheir rivers,\u200c sending millions of tons of garbage \u2014 straws included\u2062 \u2014 floating out into the ocean in a giant conveyor belt-like system every\u2063 year.<\/p>\n<p>Now we\u2019re seeing the same pattern play out, with carbon \u200bemissions. Except in this\u2062 case,\u2062 our leaders are the \u2063ones who enabled\u200d China\u2019s \u2063rise as the world\u2019s largest polluter. Twenty years ago, Bill Clinton\u200d approved the \u2063U.S.-China\u200d trade agreement and China\u2019s entrance\u200c into \u2064the \u2064WTO. He said\u200b more trade with China would benefit Americans. He promised \u200cit wouldn\u2019t crush the U.S. manufacturing sector. \u201cWe\u2019ll be \u200dable to export \u200cproducts without exporting jobs,\u201d\u2063 he promised. And how \u200chas that worked\u200d out exactly?<\/p>\n<p>But they refuse to\u200d take any responsibility \u200dfor their role\u200c in \u2064creating the single greatest polluter on the planet.<\/p>\n<p>The Clintons\u200d and the rest of their \u200cparty have displayed\u200d no self-reflection or regret whatsoever about what they did. That\u2019s because they don\u2019t\u2063 regret\u200b it. They \u200cdon\u2019t \u2063care about \u200bcarbon\u200c emissions. \u2064They don\u2019t \u2063really think \u200bthat \u200cMAGA \u2063Republicans are \u200dactively making it hot in the summer. At least the leftists \u2064in charge don\u2019t\u200c buy this stuff. It\u2019s all fake. They care about power, to the point that\u2063 Hillary is now babbling like an Aztec shaman \u2014 except the Aztec shaman would at least acknowledge\u2062 he was practicing religion,\u200b not\u2063 science.
