exposes the history and agenda\u2063 behind \u2063laws allowing children to\u200d be sexualized in \u200cschools.\u200d Miller said\u2063 her group\u2064 used Eventbrite to\u200c sell tickets for a previous RSVP \u200dAmerica conference.<\/p>\n<p>Eventbrite\u2019s decision to unpublish the upcoming conference followed\u2064 a July 11 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Indiana\/comments\/14x6rhh\/report_a_hate_group_event\/?utm_source=share&#038;utm_medium=ios_app&#038;utm_name=ioscss&#038;utm_content=2&#038;utm_term=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reddit post<\/a> on the r\/Indiana subreddit asking people to &#8220;Report a hate\u2063 group event!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The registered hate group \u200cpurple for parents is hosting\u2063 an \u2064event,&#8221; the\u200b post read. &#8220;Check out their\u200c eventbright \u2062 [sic] event\u200c and report it.&#8221; The user included a link,\u200c and more than 20 users confirmed\u2064 in \u200dcomments or \u2062replies on the post that they had reported the event to Eventbrite.<\/p>\n<p>On July\u2063 18, Miller received an email from Eventbrite Trust and \u2062Safety notifying her the event had been unpublished. &#8220;We have determined that your event is \u2063not permitted on the Eventbrite platform as it violates \u200cour Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, \u200bspecifically our policy on Hateful, Dangerous, or Violent Content and Events,&#8221; the email said.<\/p>\n<p>According \u200dto Eventbrite\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/l\/community-guidelines\/\">Community Guidelines<\/a>, this type of content\u2063 includes &#8220;Hate\u200d speech, hateful ideologies, and hateful activities that incite,\u200b encourage or engage\u2063 in\u2063 violence, intimidation, disparagement, harassment, \u2064or threats&#8221; based on certain characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>Eventbrite\u2019s email warned\u200c that &#8220;severe or repeated violations of our guidelines may result in the suspension or termination of your Eventbrite\u200c account.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Around the same time, a chapter leader for Independent Women\u2019s Network <a href=\"https:\/\/unfairlycanceled.com\/stories\/eventbrite-bans-let-women-speak-austin-event\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">received<\/a> a similar email\u2064 from Eventbrite regarding her event\u200b &#8220;Let Women Speak Austin,&#8221; \u2062which advocates for sex-based protections for women and girls, including privacy in female spaces.<\/p>\n<p>Miller said \u200cPurple for \u200dParents Indiana\u2019s board attorney issued a &#8220;stern \u200dresponse&#8221; to Eventbrite, and Miller then republished the event. Eventbrite took it down again on\u200c July\u2063 20. The board\u2019s attorney replied to the email \u2063and requested that their legal team get in contact with her\u2064 as soon as possible. As of\u2062 press time, Eventbrite\u200c had not responded.<\/p>\n<p>Two days later, Eventbrite unpublished the organization\u2019s other upcoming conference, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/571184808246128\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Save Our Children \u2064and\u2063 America<\/a>,&#8221; which had also been\u2064 targeted by Reddit users. Purple for Parents \u200cIndiana \u200cis now\u200c promoting the \u2064events by other means.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They seem to be targeting Christian and conservative events based on what these radical activists do and the pressure \u2064that they put on them,&#8221;\u2063 Miller said. The\u2062 Purple for Parents Indiana\u2064 president noted that her organization has\u2062 gotten more attention since the\u2064 Southern Poverty Law Center added the group to its &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.splcenter.org\/states\/indiana\">hate map<\/a>&#8221; \u200bin June along with other \u2063organizations advocating for parental\u2064 rights in education. &#8220;I\u200b do believe SPLC\u2019s hand \u200din all\u2062 of this \u2063has tipped off the radicals, because the attacks have ramped up since being put on the hate list,&#8221;\u200b Miller said.<\/p>\n<p>The SPLC has\u2064 recently conceded that its &#8220;hate&#8221; designations are completely subjective, as The Federalist\u2019s\u2064 Jordan Boyd reported <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/11\/goliath-smear-machine-splc-has-met-its-david\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>. Yet the Biden administration, corporate media,\u2062 Big Tech, lawmakers,\u200b and\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kamala-harris-condemns-d-c-demonstrators-despite-past-encouragement-of-violent-blm-mobs\/\" title=\"Kamala Harris condemns D.C. demonstrators despite past encouragement of violent BLM mobs\">radical left-wing activists<\/a> use them as the \u200bbasis for targeting conservative groups such as \u200bPurple for Parents Indiana and Moms \u200dfor \u200cLiberty. \u200cThe SPLC is currently wrapped up in \u2064a brutal lawsuit after the Dustin Inman Society and its founder sued the group for subjectively defaming the \u200bborder-security \u2062organization \u2063as an &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/splc-hate-group-labeling-of-conservative-groups-gets-legal-scrutiny\/\" title=\"SPLC 'hate group' labeling of conservative groups gets legal scrutiny\">anti-immigrant hate group<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If the SPLC\u200b was not \u200csupported and propelled by\u200b the mainstream, traditional media, they would just be another hate-mongering, money-making organization,&#8221; said Dustin \u2062Inman Society founder and \u2062President D.A. King.<\/p>\n<p>Eventbrite\u2019s political activism, according to its <a href=\"https:\/\/eventbrite-s3.s3.amazonaws.com\/marketing\/landingpages\/assets\/2023\/corporate-responsibility\/documents\/ESG+-+2022.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2022 \u200cCorporate Responsibility Report<\/a>, included advocating for <a href=\"https:\/\/dontbanequality.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">abortion<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ceosforgunsafety.org\/pages\/2022-letter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/arkansas-lawmakers-approve-bill-to-block-federal-gun-restrictions-gov-says-hell-sign\/\" title=\"Arkansas Lawmakers Approve Bill to Block Federal Gun Restrictions, Gov. Says He\u2019ll Sign\">federal gun restrictions<\/a><\/a>, and codification of same-sex &#8220;marriage.&#8221; Eventbrite\u200d previously unpublished other\u200c conservative events, \u200cincluding a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/eventbrite-removes-what-is-a-woman-screening-event-for-allegedly-promoting-hate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">screening<\/a> of Matt Walsh\u2019s documentary &#8220;What is a Woman?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According \u2064to <a href=\"https:\/\/money.cnn.com\/quote\/shareholders\/shareholders.html?symb=EB&#038;subView=institutional\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CNN Business<\/a>, two of Eventbrite\u2019s \u206210 \u2064biggest \u200cstockholders are Vanguard and BlackRock, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/eventbrite-nukes-events-promoting-protection-of-kids-as-hateful-and-dangerous\/\" title=\"Eventbrite bans events supporting child protection, deeming them 'hateful' and 'risky'.\">massive asset management firms<\/a> that <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/31\/report-wall-street-bigwigs-are-left-wing-activists-using-your-money-to-push-their-politics\/\">use their economic clout<\/a> \u200c to push radical &#8220;environmental, social, and governance&#8221; (ESG) agendas.<\/p>\n<p>As of press time, Eventbrite had not responded to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3>About the Author<\/h3>\n<p>Olivia Hajicek is a student at \u2064Hillsdale College studying history and journalism.
