Tim Burchett (R-TN),\u200d one of \u2064the lawmakers who has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/congressman-says-ufos-can-fly-underwater-government-has-been-covering-up-presence-since-1890s\">spearheaded the UAP endeavor<\/a>, told reporters after the hearing came to a close.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL),\u200b another leader in the UAP inquiry.<\/p>\n<p>While nothing has been scheduled, House Oversight Committee\u2063 Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said there is a \u201cstrong possibility\u201d there will be more UAP hearings, NewsNation \u200dcorrespondent Joe Khalil reported in a \u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoeKhalilTV\/status\/1684230455107674113\">post to \u200cX<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Testimony\u200c Reveals \u2062Startling Claims<\/h3>\n<p>The hearing \u2063on Wednesday held by an Oversight subcommittee featured testimony from David Grusch, a former U.S. military and intelligence official who has gone public with <a href=\"https:\/\/thedebrief.org\/intelligence-officials-say-u-s-has-retrieved-non-human-craft\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">allegations<\/a> about crafts of non-human origin being retrieved and kept\u2064 from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/congress\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Congress<\/a> with a \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NewsNation\/status\/1684224867334344706\">\u201cmisappropriation of funds,\u201d<\/a> and\u200d two Navy veterans who have come forward with claims \u200cabout mysterious flying objects that \u200bappear to defy the laws of physics and could threaten national security.<\/p>\n<p>Grusch made several \u2064out-of-this-world declarations. In addition to saying he has faced \u201cbrutal\u201d retaliation, Grusch said he knows where the U.S. government is<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/whistleblower-testifies-he-knows-exact-locations-of-ufos\"> \u200bcovertly\u200d keeping UAPs<\/a> and claimed\u200b to have been informed\u200b by\u200d people \u2063involved in the alleged retrieval program that there were \u201cbiologics\u201d that were \u201cnon-human\u201d that came \u2062with some of the recoveries dating \u200dback to at least the 1930s.<\/p>\n<p>At \u200cthe same time, Grusch said he was restrained in what he could divulge publicly under conditions set \u200bas \u2063his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsnationnow.com\/space\/ufo\/we-are-not-alone-the-ufo-whistleblower-speaks\/\">whistleblower case gets resolved<\/a>, but he indicated he could provide a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChrisSPITZER7\/status\/1684324683452235776\">list of \u201ccooperative and hostile\u201d<\/a> individuals who may be linked to\u2064 UAP\u2064 programs. And the military needs to come forward because at the end of\u200c the day,\u200d if\u2064 we\u2019re wrong and if these pilots are wrong then the military should prove why they\u2019re wrong, and how, rather than just not answering the question,\u201d Rep. \u200dJared Moskowitz (D-FL) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepMoskowitz\/status\/1684307899684732928\">told MSNBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For its part, the Department of \u2064Defense (DoD) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GadiNBC\/status\/1684294693428027395\">insisted<\/a> that\u2064 its All-domain\u200c Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), which has been tasked with\u200b investigating \u200cUFOs, \u201chas not discovered\u200d any verifiable information \u200bto substantiate claims that any programs \u200bregarding the possession or reverse-engineering of extraterrestrial materials have existed in the past or exist currently.\u201d Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NASA\/status\/1682499768361054208\">a NASA \u2062team is<\/a> expected to release a report on UAPs in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Though there has already been \u2062a\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/schumer-moves-to-force-disclosure-of-ufo-secrets\">push by lawmakers for legislation<\/a> to encourage more disclosures, members proposed various ways in which Congress could play hardball if they meet resistance.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who appeared at \u200cthe hearing\u200b Wednesday \u2064and spoke about military pilots witnessing a \u200bhigh-flying UAP that appeared to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/congressman-matt-gaetz-opens-up-about-uap-beyond-human-capability\">transcend \u201chuman capability,\u201d<\/a> floated the use of subpoenas, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KellieMeyerNews\/status\/1684348198465200128\">a select committee to\u2064 investigate UAPs<\/a>. Another lawmaker,\u2062 Rep.\u200c Andy Ogles\u2062 (R-TN), threatened to initiate the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepOgles\/status\/1684269142788956178\">Holman Rule<\/a> in a bid to <a href=\"https:\/\/sgp.fas.org\/crs\/misc\/R44736.pdf\">rein \u200bin<\/a> any uncooperative programs or agencies by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/heres-what-mccarthys-house-can-actually-get-done-before-2024\">squeezing available\u2063 money and job positions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/former-defense-official-shares-claims-of-off-world-technology-expects-new-revelations-at-ufo-hearing\">Christopher Mellon<\/a>, a former deputy assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Senate staffer \u200dwho has pushed for transparency on the UAP issue,\u2063 encouraged Congress to use its leverage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy wielding \u200bthe \u2063power of the purse, Congress possesses a myriad of tools (cutting funding, stalling promotions, invoking the Holman Rule, etc.) to \u200densure that the Executive complies with Congress\u2019 oversight\u200b authority,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChrisKMellon\/status\/1684310535007870976\">Mellon said on\u2062 X<\/a>. \u201cFundamentally,\u200d the UAP issue and it\u2019s possible implications are of far too much consequence\u2062 to be monopolized \u2062by one branch of government, regardless of\u200b party or administration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Burchett spoke to the potential of there being financial conflicts that result \u2062in roadblocks to full transparency with \u2063\u201cunelected bureaucrats within the military-war complex.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Burchett told <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UAPJames\/status\/1684312602657140736\">NewsNation<\/a> that leadership informed him that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-ufo-hearing-is-over-whats-next\/\" title=\"UFO hearing concluded. What comes next?\">intelligence community effectively torpedoed<\/a> an amendment to allow airline pilots who spot a UFO to report it to the Federal Aviation \u200dAdministration, as \u2062well as Congress.
