I don\u2019t think they meet in secret mansions\u200c on Atlantic islands and strategize about\u200b establishing a \u201cnew world order.\u201d\u2062 But Deep Staters do exist, and they\u2019re a big problem.<\/p>\n<p>The Deep State is a bunch of career \u2063hacks who\u2019ve infested the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/scaros-the-deep-state-is-very-real-and-very-troubling\/\" title=\"Scaros: The Deep State is alarmingly real and concerning.\">insufferably bloated executive branch<\/a> and know how to keep presidents at\u200c bay.<\/p>\n<p>Too\u200c many Americans have limited \u2063themselves to the\u200b binary choice that presidents\u200b are either powerless puppets who take\u200d orders from the aforementioned\u200c secret cabal, or they\u2019re fully in charge of running the country.<\/p>\n<p>But there\u2063 is a third, often overlooked possibility: that presidents\u200b (along with Congress) really are in charge of\u200b things on\u2064 paper, but\u2064 the Deep State is so complex, deeply rooted and far-reaching\u2063 that it calls\u200b the shots in ways that the rest of \u2063us \u2014 including the president, quite often\u2062 \u2014 don\u2019t even realize and are almost \u2064helpless\u200b to control.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine that a college hires a new president for a three-year term. The college is full of career employees \u2062\u2014 staffers and\u200c faculty members \u2014 who have been there for over 10 years, most of whom plan to work another 20. The professors are tenured and the\u2062 administrative and maintenance staffs are unionized, so they\u2019re \u2064not going anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>The president (much like the president of the \u2064United States)\u200d reports to the board of directors (as the U.S. president\u200d reports to the American people), but otherwise\u2062 is in charge \u200b\u2014\u200b or so it \u2063seems \u2014 of everyone else at the college\u2063 (analogously, government agencies).<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Is the federal government too\u2063 big?<\/h3>\n<form id=\"firefly-poll\" onsubmit=\"ff_poll_submit(event)\">\n<div id=\"pollFormBox\" style=\"display: none\">\n<ul>\n<li><label><input type=\"radio\" name=\"answer\" value=\"yes\">Yes<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label><input type=\"radio\" name=\"answer\" value=\"no\">No<\/label><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"firefly-poll-disclaimer\">\n<p>\t\t\t\tCompleting this poll \u200dentitles you to The Western Journal news updates free of charge. Some professors and longtime employees speak with board members\u200b too.<\/p>\n<p>Consequently, the board, which ultimately makes the decisions even though\u200c it is less familiar with \u2063the day-to-day operations of the college, meets\u2062 and reverses the president\u2019s proposal for\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nolte-top-ten-percenter-rashida-tlaib-demands-taxpayers-pay-her-student-loans\/\" title=\"Nolte: Top Ten-Percenter Rashida Tlaib Demands Taxpayers Pay Her Student Loans\">weekend classes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This all happened behind the president\u2019s back, and there was nothing evil \u200cabout it. It wasn\u2019t as if the college employees wanted\u200b to do\u200c something illegal, or wanted to harm the students or\u200d the\u2064 reputation of the college in any way. It was a simple matter of wanting to sleep in on the weekends.<\/p>\n<p>Also, consider that the president was no one\u2019s puppet. He\u200d wasn\u2019t ordered to\u200d deliver a\u200d speech \u2064condemning weekend classes. He really \u2064wanted them and no employee dared reject him to his face. \u200bBut the\u200c employees got their way because they comprise that college\u2019s \u201cdeep state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Next, let\u2019s suppose \u200cthe president does realize that his plan \u2063was sabotaged \u200cby faculty and\u200c staff. His first reaction is to fire them \u200ball.<\/p>\n<p>Never mind\u2062 their tenure and union protections and the\u2064 potential lawsuits such a drastic move may generate \u2014 if the president fires them, who\u2019s going to do\u200d all the work? An institution of \u2063higher \u200blearning can\u2019t simply\u200d fire everyone\u200d on \u200ba Friday afternoon and have replacements ready for Monday morning \u200cclasses.<\/p>\n<p>And\u200c if that won\u2019t\u2063 work \u2063at a college, how can\u2063 it \u200cwork for an entire country?<\/p>\n<p>The\u2062 president of the\u200b United \u200dStates is the \u2063head of the executive branch of the federal government. He\u2019s their boss, \u2062but most of them were there long \u2062before him and will be there once he\u2019s out of \u200doffice.<\/p>\n<p>In Joe Biden\u2019s case, if it seems like he\u2019s controlling the Deep State\u2063 to keep Donald \u2062Trump bombarded with investigation\u200c after investigation even as it covers up Biden\u2019s \u2062own wrongdoings, don\u2019t be fooled. \u200dIt\u2019s not that Biden controls \u2064the Deep \u200dState; \u2062it\u2019s that the current\u200b bunch of Deep Staters know they\u2019re better\u2064 off with Biden in office.<\/p>\n<p>If Trump \u2014 who, believe it or not, was too gentle\u200b on this\u200d issue while he was president \u2014 gets back into office,\u200c he\u2019ll <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/07\/17\/us\/politics\/trump-plans-2025.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dismantle<\/a> \u2062so many agencies with\u2064 a sledgehammer.<\/p>\n<p>The good news is that more and more Americans are becoming aware of\u2063 the Deep State, though explanations of it as an anti-American monster sacrifice credibility and turn off objective observers \u2064willing to listen \u200dto \u2062reason.<\/p>\n<p>Just like those college employees, the Deep Staters \u2063for the most part don\u2019t\u2063 hate America,\u200b are not working with \u2064enemy nations, do not want \u201cone world order\u201d of totalitarian Marxism, and haven\u2019t <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/scotus-reimposes-death-sentence-for-boston-marathon-bomber\/\" title=\"SCOTUS Reimposes Death Sentence for Boston Marathon Bomber\">committed heinous crimes<\/a> that they\u2019re now trying to cover \u2064up.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2064 are shirking their professional obligations, though.
