The school\u2062 will be\u2062 housed at One\u2022n\u2022ten&#8217;s Phoenix headquarters, ensuring a supportive and \u200bnurturing atmosphere for its students.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most exciting aspects of this school \u200cis that students do \u2062not have to identify as LGBT to enroll.\u2063 The mission\u200d of One\u2022n\u2022ten is to serve LGBTQ youth and \u200byoung adults aged \u200b11-24, enhancing their lives through empowering social and service \u2063programs that promote self-expression, self-acceptance, leadership\u2064 development, and\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-disney-short-film-reflect-helps-plus-size-girls-feel-good-about-dancing-diabetes\/\" title=\"New Disney Short Film \u201cReflect\u201d Helps Plus-Size Girls Feel Good About Dancing, Diabetes\">healthy life choices<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>A Safe Space \u2062for Exceptional Education<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;We just had this population of sixth, seventh, and\u200c eighth graders that could really \u2062benefit \u200cfrom a safe \u200bspace to be able to have exceptional education while also exploring their own identity,&#8221; \u200dsaid Clayton Davenport, One\u2022n\u2022ten&#8217;s director of \u200bdevelopment and marketing.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The school was\u2062 established in response to \u200cwhat One\u2022n\u2022ten CEO Nate\u200c Rhoton \u200bdescribes as\u2062 legislative and \u200ccultural &#8220;attacks&#8221; on LGBT youth. \u2062It \u200baims to provide a comprehensive education that\u2062 not only covers traditional subjects like science, math, and reading but also highlights LGBT\u2062 history and perspectives.<\/p>\n<p>Using a curriculum developed by the New York City education department, students will have the opportunity to learn about LGBT history every day. The curriculum is designed \u2063to be\u2064 culturally responsive, ensuring that stories from\u200c every perspective and point of view are shared.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Inclusive Facilities and Affordable Tuition<\/h3>\n<p>The school will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/queer-middle-school-in-phoenix-will-be-funded-by-taxpayer-vouchers\/\" title=\"Phoenix to fund 'queer' middle school with taxpayer vouchers.\">feature single-stall restrooms<\/a> instead of gender-specific facilities, creating \u200ca more inclusive environment for all \u200cstudents.<\/p>\n<p>Importantly, families\u200d will \u2063not have to\u200b bear any out-of-pocket costs for tuition. Thanks to Arizona&#8217;s school voucher \u200dprogram, \u2062the tuition will be covered entirely by the vouchers.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Arizona expanded its school \u200dvoucher program last summer, allowing every student \u2062in\u2063 the state to receive a taxpayer-funded \u2063Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) to attend a private school.
