The case \u2062is being prosecuted by Delaware U.S. Attorney \u2062David Weiss.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/close-biden-political-aide-weiss-hunter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington\u200b Examiner<\/a> reported that a former aide to President Joe Biden, who referred\u200c to Hunter Biden as \u201cbrother\u201d in\u2064 messages recovered from Hunter\u2019s infamous\u2062 laptop, worked in Weiss\u2019 office from 2018 to 2019.<\/p>\n<p>That former aide\u200d is Alexander Mackler, who served as press secretary for Joe Biden during his time in the Senate and as legal counsel during his time as vice president, as stated in \u200bMackler\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/alexander-mackler-0836b74a\/details\/experience\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LinkedIn profile<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The profile\u2062 also shows that Mackler worked on\u2064 Joe Biden\u2019s \u2062late son Beau\u2019s campaign for Delaware attorney general in 2010. Mackler even volunteered to work on Joe Biden\u2019s presidential <a href=\"https:\/\/wgetsnaps.github.io\/biden-harris-transition-teams\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">transition team<\/a> in 2020. He \u200cis now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/close-associate-of-biden-family-worked-for-delaware-us-attorney-during-hunter-biden-investigation\/\" title=\"Biden family's close associate served at Delaware US Attorney's office during Hunter Biden probe.\">chief \u200cdeputy attorney general<\/a> of Delaware.<\/p>\n<h3>A Close Relationship<\/h3>\n<p>It seems\u200c as though Mackler\u2019s relationship with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/buyer-hunter-bidens-artwork-gained-access-wh-13-times-landed-presidential-appointment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hunter \u200bBiden<\/a> was quite a\u2064 close one.<\/p>\n<p>In October 2018, Mackler emailed Hunter while \u2062he was working for Weiss as an\u200d assistant U.S. attorney.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI just finished a hellacious couple\u200c months in court. Now that\u2064 I have\u200c a chance to breathe, was wondering how life is on your \u200dend. Last you told me you were out in LA. Gimme a call sometime we can catch up. Love you brother,\u201d Mackler\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/bidenlaptopemails.com\/biden-emails\/email.php?id=20181016-091849_77708\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">email<\/a> read.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Weiss\u2019 office opened its investigation into Hunter\u2019s \u2062financial dealings three months later, according to the Examiner.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/long-time-biden-ally-prosecutor-us-attorney-weiss-office-hunter-probe-called-him-a-brother\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> also\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/liberals-are-already-panicking-about-trumps-2024-plan\/\" title=\"Liberals Are Already Panicking About Trump's 2024 Plan\">obtained text messages<\/a> between \u2064Mackler and Hunter from March 2019, \u201cwell \u2064after\u200c the federal investigation was underway.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mackler texted Hunter, saying, \u201cHey. In the car for long drive, just wanted to say hi,\u201d to \u200dwhich Hunter responded, \u201chey buddy how goes it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWanted to check in and see how you are,\u201d Mackler texted later.<\/p>\n<p>It also appears\u2064 that Mackler wasn\u2019t \u200bvery fond of former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-hints-might-instead-attending-fox-news-first-gop-presidential-debate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He \u201cfrequently vented\u201d about Trump to \u2062Hunter and his business partner Eric Schwerin following \u2062Trump\u2019s election, Fox reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m trying very hard\u2064 to take solace in the fact that more people in this\u200c country feel like us than like\u200d Trump\u2019s people,\u201d Mackler told them in \u20622016.<\/p>\n<p>Mackler briefly worked with Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf under Weiss.<\/p>\n<p>During \u200brecent <a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/release\/hearing-wrap-up-irs-whistleblowers-expose-how-bidens-were-treated-differently%EF%BF%BC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">testimony<\/a> before \u200cthe House Oversight Committee, IRS\u200c whistleblowers Gary\u2063 Shapley and Joseph Ziegler said Wolf interfered in multiple investigations into the Biden family.<\/p>\n<p>Ziegler specifically alleged that Wolf prevented investigators from asking questions about Joe Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hunter-biden-put-vp-dad-phone-least-2-dozen-calls-overseas-biz-associates-ex-partner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">involvement<\/a> in his\u200b son\u2019s \u200bbusiness \u2064dealings and tipped Hunter\u200d Biden off about a planned \u2063search of his storage unit.<\/p>\n<p>The Examiner noted that Mackler and Wolf prosecuted a\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-de\/pr\/seaford-heroin-dealer-pleads-guilty\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">major case<\/a> together\u2062 in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The post <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/close-associate-biden-family-worked-delaware-us-attorney-hunter-biden-investigation\/\">Close Associate of Biden Family Worked for Delaware US Attorney During Hunter Biden Investigation<\/a> appeared first\u2064 on <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\">The Western\u200c Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hunter Biden pleads not guilty to tax evasion and gun possession charges.
