Rather, as Rep. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/kat-cammack\">Kat Cammack<\/a> (R-FL)\u2063 explained while holding the jar, what it \u200ccontained represented a far more \u201cgrim\u201d reality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese are wristbands that\u200b the cartels force people to wear when they cross the border, and if you\u2019re not wearing one and you\u2062 cross the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/border-crisis\">border<\/a>,\u2062 the cartels will \u200dtake a limb or an appendage,\u201d\u200c Cammack said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Rep. Ted Cruz\u200d (R-TX) \u2063and \u200dothers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAstonishing \u2014 but not at all a surprise,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenTedCruz\/status\/1684261974647926784\">Cruz said on the X \u200dplatform<\/a>. \u201cEarlier this year during a Senate Judiciary hearing, DHS Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas denied knowing about\u200b the cartel wristbands found at the \u200bborder. This is the latest example of the Biden\u200b administration turning a blind eye \u200dto the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-lawmaker-confronts-biden-official-with-jar-of-wristbands-showing-grim-reality-at-border\/\" title=\"GOP lawmaker shows Biden official grim reality at border with wristband jar.\">human trafficking crisis taking place<\/a> at our southern border.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/d1dth6e84htgma.cloudfront.net\/07_26_23_Becerra_Testimony_E_and_C_Oversight_Hearing_c76ba8ed58.pdf\">In his \u200btestimony<\/a> for a House subcommittee\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/energycommerce.house.gov\/events\/oversight-and-investigations-subcommittee-hearing-stopping-the-exploitation-of-migrant-children-oversight-of-hhs-office-of-refugee-resettlement\">hearing<\/a> on \u201cStopping the Exploitation of Migrant Children: Oversight of HHS\u2019 \u2062Office of Refugee Resettlement,\u201d Becerra talked about what happens when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/uganda-halts-vote-campaigning-in-some-areas-opposition-cries-foul\/\" title=\"Uganda halts vote campaigning in some areas, opposition cries foul\">young people<\/a> who are transferred to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acf.hhs.gov\/orr\/programs\/uc\">HHS care<\/a> from the Department of Homeland Security or any other federal entity are then released to a sponsor. Becerra stressed that\u200d the sponsors of unaccompanied minors are \u201cthoroughly vetted,\u201d \u200bbut conceded the children \u2064\u201cmay find themselves in unsafe situations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Challenging the secretary to define what \u201cthoroughly vetted\u201d means, Cammack shared the story of a young migrant girl\u2063 she encountered who was \u201cterrified\u201d\u200d of the man holding her, as seen in a photo the congresswoman \u200cshowed. That man, Cammack said, later confessed under threat of a DNA test to \u201crenting\u201d the child in a process called \u201crecycling\u201d and turned\u2063 out to be a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bail-fund-praised-by-kamala-harris-has-twice-freed-the-same-rioter-he-was-just-charged-again\/\" title=\"Bail Fund Praised By Kamala Harris Has Twice Freed The Same Rioter.
