Nicole L.\u2063 Gee, one of the\u200b 13 U.S. soldiers killed during Joe Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-bidens-disastrous-withdrawal-turned-afghanistan-worlds-repressive-country-women-un-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">disastrous<\/a> pullout \u200bfrom \u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/firefight-erupts-afghanistan-iran-border-taliban-commander-threatens-conquest-islamic-republic-within-24-hours-order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Afghanistan<\/a>, has come forward to explain that they were stuck paying\u200c thousands of \u200bdollars to\u200b have her body shipped to Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia after her funeral\u200b in California.<\/p>\n<p>This horrific situation was brought forward by Florida GOP Rep. Cory Mills, who told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/family-forced-pay-ship-body-marine-killed-after-pentagon-policy-change-egregious-injustice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> that he was \u201cenraged \u2064to learn that \u2062the Department of Defense had\u200b placed a heavy \u2063financial \u2064burden\u201d on the Gee family, which was stuck paying the tab for the final\u200d flight of\u2062 their loved one\u2019s body.<\/p>\n<p>The family wasn\u2019t\u2062 just on \u200dthe hook for\u200d a few grand, either. The final bill to have Gee\u2019s body moved to \u200dArlington was \u201ca staggering $60,000,\u201d Mills said.<\/p>\n<p>The family resorted\u2064 to starting a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/help-us-say-goodbye-to-our-hero-nicole-ge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GoFundMe<\/a> page\u2064 to help cover expenses.<\/p>\n<p>Mills discovered \u200cthat the Department of Defense declined to pay for the fallen hero\u2019s body \u2063to be moved from California to Arlington Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>Gee\u2019s remains were\u200b flown to \u200bher hometown\u2063 of Roseville, California, for a ceremony,\u200b but the DOD refused to pay the costs to have her casket moved from\u2064 California to Virginia.
