Not \u200bonly\u200d does\u200c the FD-1023 form containing claims from a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/05\/highly-credible-source-reveals-scandal-bigger-than-biden-bribery-fbi-election-interference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">highly credible<\/a>\u201d confidential human source (CHS) <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/20\/heres-everything-in-the-damning-fd-1023-document-that-implicates-biden-in-an-international-bribery-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">show<\/a> how the then-vice president was \u200binstrumental in the\u200d firing of a Ukrainian prosecutor investigating the energy company (Burisma Holdings) his son was a board member of; it also shows how the Bidens\u2064 were purportedly paid $10 million for Joe\u2019s role in the firing of said prosecutor.<\/p>\n<p>Coupled\u2063 with <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/25\/here-are-all-the-people-who-have-corroborated-biden-family-corruption\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">corroboration<\/a> from IRS\u2063 and FBI whistleblowers, former Biden family\u2062 business partners, and even Joe and Hunter Biden, the scheme represents perhaps the biggest\u200b scandal involving a U.S. president in American history.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/25\/joe-biden-allegedly-interacted-with-sons-clients-more-than-200-times\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Joe Biden Allegedly Interacted \u2063With Son\u2019s \u200cClients More Than 200 Times<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While McCarthy\u2019s remarks \u2063have generated excitement among many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-public-university-uva-spent-nearly-541-per-minute-for-ibram-kendi-racial-equity-lecture\/\" title=\"EXCLUSIVE: Public University UVA Spent Nearly 1 Per Minute For Ibram Kendi \u2018Racial Equity\u2019 Lecture\">prominent conservative figures<\/a>, talking about impeachment and actually impeaching Biden are two very different things. Republicans\u2064 deserve credit for\u2064 using their House majority to shine a light\u200c on the Biden family\u2019s shady, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-calls-travel-lid-for-wednesday-an-hour-after-bobulinski-interview-airs\/\" title=\"Biden Calls Travel Lid for Wednesday an Hour After Bobulinski Interview Airs\">foreign business dealings<\/a>. But \u200cthe exposure of such corruption\u2062 means <em>absolutely\u2064 nothing<\/em> \u200cif Republicans \u2062don\u2019t act on\u200c it.<\/p>\n<p>Issuing statements and running \u2064to Fox News to discuss how corrupt the Bidens are\u200d is not going to \u200ccut it with Republican voters, and nor should it. Whether it was the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/russian-collusion-hoax\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Trump-Russia\u2062 collusion\u200b hoax<\/a> or the government-sponsored ransacking \u2062of civil liberties during the Covid lockdowns, the GOP has talked for <em>years<\/em> \u200c about \u201cholding corrupt officials accountable,\u201d\u200d only to then sit on their hands\u200d once given\u2062 power.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ: <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/24\/there-is-more-evidence-to-impeach-biden-over-ukraine-than-there-ever-was-for-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">There Is More Evidence To Impeach Biden Over Ukraine Than There Ever Was For Trump<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For example, in the seven months House Republicans \u200dhave\u200d been in charge,\u2064 who exactly \u2063has been \u201cheld accountable?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Has Department of \u2063Homeland Security Secretary <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/alejandro-mayorkas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alejandro Mayorkas<\/a> faced consequences for leaving the U.S. southern border\u200c wide\u200d open? \u200dHas Attorney General <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/merrick-garland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Merrick Garland<\/a> answered for weaponizing\u2063 the Justice Department \u200cto target conservatives and protect Democrats like the Bidens? How about FBI \u200dDirector <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/christopher-wray\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Christopher Wray<\/a> \u200b for\u200c his agency\u2019s interference in the 2020 election and \u200dsurveilling of Catholic parishes?<\/p>\n<p>Nope. Not a single one.<\/p>\n<p>Some Republicans may\u200c argue \u2064that impeachment is a political failure waiting to happen, given that a\u200d conviction by the Democrat-controlled Senate is highly unlikely. But that rationale didn\u2019t stop \u200dHouse Democrats \u2063from impeaching \u2063former President Trump twice. And it wouldn\u2019t stop\u200b them from \u2063going after any future Republican president, either.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, impeaching Biden is more than just a trial. It\u2019s about \u2064exposing the \u200bAmerican people\u2064 to the Biden\u200d family corruption that \u200dlegacy media have <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/25\/mounting-evidence-doesnt-matter-corporate-media-will-never-cover-the-biden-corruption-scandal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">worked so hard\u200c to hide<\/a> and \u2014 equally as important \u2014 showing Democrats that Republicans are just as willing to fight \u200cpolitical fire with political \u2064fire.<\/p>\n<p>Republican politicians who earnestly\u200b believe the existing status quo \u2014 wherein agencies like the DOJ can target and crush everyday Americans with \u2064no recourse \u2014 can continue in \u2062its\u2064 current form \u2062are kidding \u200bthemselves. Without an effective and equally consequential response to their nefarious behavior,\u200d Democrats will \u200cnot hesitate\u2064 to further weaponize government processes and institutions against their political opponents unabated. Failure to mount any sort of political\u200c resistance to such egregiousness is both an \u2064act \u200cof cowardice and a death blow \u2063to what\u2019s \u2062left of the American experiment.<\/p>\n<p>Until Biden is actually impeached, McCarthy and \u200bHouse Republicans\u2019 \u201cWe\u2019re going to hold \u200bBiden accountable!\u201d rhetoric is meaningless. The time for Republican statements \u2064of concern and outrage is over.
