Version: 4.0.47--><h2>Bank CEO Out After Closing Prominent Conservative&#8217;s Account and Then Lying About It<\/h2>\n<p>The\u2062 chief executive of one\u200c of Britain\u2019s biggest banks resigned\u2064 on Wednesday amidst outrage that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tucker-carlson-warns-young-conservatives-to-pay-attention-to-topics-with-unapproved-words\/\" title=\"Tucker Carlson cautions young conservatives about sensitive subjects with 'unauthorized language'.\">political \u200dcommentator<\/a>\u2064 and \u2062former Brexit leader\u200b Nigel\u200b Farage\u2019s bank accounts were shut off because\u200b of his right<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-gina-carano-to-produce-and-star-in-upcoming-film-for-the-daily-wire\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Gina Carano To Produce And Star In Upcoming Film For The Daily Wire\">-wing views<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Alison Rose,\u2062 CEO of NatWest Bank, stepped down from \u200cher role on Wednesday after admitting she anonymously and inaccurately told a BBC reporter that Farage\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/cross-dressing-sticky-note-bandit-hunted-fbi-3-texas-bank-robberies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bank<\/a> accounts were closed entirely for \u201ccommercial\u201d\u200b reasons, which BBC \u2064then ran a story\u200b on earlier in July, The Associated Press <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/natwest-nigel-farage-account-closed-9c9d7ef19a4ef805efbafc6784f88748\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a> on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Farage \u200cobtained documents that \u2064indicate his \u2064accounts were not \u2064shut off due to financial reasons but because of his right-wing views and \u201csupport for Trump,\u201d Farage <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Nigel_Farage\/status\/1681336956188344323?%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1681336956188344323%7Ctwgr%5E966b6761a3e988ac12bbacfbdaa0cb26940267ee%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fdailycaller.com%2F2023%2F07%2F18%2Fcoutts-nigel-farage-bank-account%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n<p>According\u200b to the documents \u2062Farage obtained, Coutts\u2019 private bank \u2014 a subsidiary of NatWest \u2014 feared the \u201creputational damage\u201d \u200dit\u200b would sustain by keeping on Farage as a client, calling him\u2063 \u201cxenophobic and \u2062racist\u201d and \u201cconsidered \u2062by\u2064 many to be a disingenuous grifter,\u201d \u200caccording\u2063 to \u200dthe\u200b AP.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe acknowledge that the information we reported \u2014 that Coutts\u2019 decision on Nigel Farage\u2019s account\u200c did not involve considerations \u2062about his political views \u2014 turned out not to be \u200daccurate,\u201d BBC said.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday evening, Rose \u2063apologized\u2062 to Farage and\u200d admitted she was the source who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bank-ceo-out-after-closing-prominent-conservatives-account-and-then-lying-about-it\/\" title=\"Bank CEO Fired for Closing Prominent Conservative's Account and Deceiving Public\">anonymously\u200d gave\u2062 false statements<\/a> to BBC \u2064about his account closures,\u2063 and \u200dsaid that speaking to\u2064 the reporter \u2063was \u201ca serious error\u2064 of judgment,\u201d \u200bthe AP \u200breported.
