For instance, \u2063Chinese-owned Fufeng Group faced \u2063scrutiny when\u2064 it attempted to build a corn mill on \u200d300 acres of land it \u2062purchased near Grand\u2064 Forks Air Force Base in North \u2062Dakota. \u2062In another\u2064 case,\u200b a former member of the Chinese Army acquired 130,000 acres near Laughlin Air \u2062Force Base in \u2063South Texas. The FBI \u2063discovered Chinese tech company\u2064 Huawei&#8217;s technology, \u200cwhich \u2064is blacklisted by the United States, mounted \u200con cell towers near nuclear missile \u2062silos.<\/p>\n<p>In response to \u2063these concerns, the Senate voted 91-7 to include an\u2064 amendment in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-allocate-5-million-for-national-science-foundation-diversity-officer\/\" title=\"Democrats Allocate  Million for National Science Foundation \u2018Diversity Officer\u2019\">annual defense spending bill<\/a>, prohibiting China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran from purchasing U.S. farmland. Mike Thompson\u200c (D., Calif.), whose district \u2064includes part\u200b of Solano County. &#8220;We just don\u2019t know.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The intentions of Flannery Associates regarding\u2063 the California\u200b land remain\u2064 unclear.
